Abstract
The purpose of this study is to overview studies that evaluate insomnia and heart disease risks in shift workers in the _x000D_ literature. A total of 12 studies of descriptive, cross-sectional, cohort, systematic review and meta-analysis, prospective _x000D_ cohort and relationship seeking between 2005 and 2020 were included in the evaluation. Shift workers experienced _x000D_ sleep disorders and imparied circadian rhythm. Due to these problems, shift workers have higher risk of cardiovascular _x000D_ diseases and coronary heart diseases than those who do not work in shifts. This risk increased after five years with _x000D_ annual exposure. In addition, it was determined that the risk of cardiovascular disease mortality is high for these _x000D_ employees. As a result of this systematic review, it was found that shift work was associated with insomnia and _x000D_ cardiovascular disease. Mortality risk of cardiovascular disease was found to be high in one third of the studies _x000D_ reviewed. The occupational group with the highest risk of cardiovascular disease due to shift work system was found _x000D_ to be health workers and factory workers.
