    Basic functions of the packaging; transporting, protecting and introducing a product. Packaging is a very important fact in today’s increasingly competitive./increased competition. For the sale of packaged products. In addition to the structural features as well as visual attention needs to be supplemented with attractive and creative ideas. Product that ready for sale, should have convincing features to the consumer. Today, packages look like each other in terms of graphic design. These similarities, complicates the selection of product by consumer. The most important impact on the consumer of packaging design; the color of the packaging. Color represent; product’s brand value, identity and reflect the character of the determined image visually. Also; color is the most important tool to separate a product and packaging from each other. In this project; consumers purchasing reactions to packagings color ,tested according to these different industries; delicatessen, cleaning product, food, etc. In this project, for achieving general results ‘’descriptive scanning model’’is used. In the research; there are 40 woman and 30 men, totally 70 people. Researchers prepared a questionnaire that includes 47 question. In the analysis of data, percentages and frequency values are given for each item and cross tables were applied. The obtained data have been determinated according to the criteria representing the consumer profile. Obtained datas from test evaluated and shared.

    Carton packagings are graplıical produets vvhich have important effects in inereasing sales and marketing vvith related to design quality and in improving company image, together vvith their carrying and proteeting duties. Hovvever, these are not short term designs like commercial or nevvspaper notices. Many produets keep their design of packagiııg vvithout changing for years. Tlıis is essential for many produets. This kind of produets vvith the design ehanges in packaging is not attraetive for the consumer or they produce conflicts in terms of their safety. Finally, the sales and marketing ehance gets dovvn and llıe company image is badly affeeted. In the present study; samples vvere selected from the most affeeted type of produets in these conditions and the differences betvveen the samples printed in the past and in llıe preseni vvere compared and the general ehanges establislıed. As a result, llıe polential causes and results of ehanges or deformations related to llıe time and the technique used vvere examined and the precautions to be laken vvere presenied.

    Potential of fish scales as a filling material in surface coating of cellulosic paper

    Background: Paper is one of the important inputs for the printing industry, and the most important leading parameter in the printing process is its brightness. Brightness can be brought to paper using coatings and sizing. Desired surface properties and, most importantly, surface roughness can be achieved by changing the contents of the coating and sizing of the materials it contains. The use of biomaterials is becoming more important in the paper industry, as they represent substances with a lower carbon footprint. Fish scales are already used as a filling material, cosmetic material and fish food, as well as for determining the age of fish. Methods: Fish scales were brought to different sizes by a milling process. Paper formulations including different amounts of fish scales were prepared with fish scales, and coatings on raw paper were subjected to test printings in IGT-C1, with formulations and physical characteristics of coatings such as brightness, lightfastness, strength, adhesion etc. being determined. Results: Regarding the value of yellowness, mixtures of 2.5%-10% can be used. The maximum value of brightness was obtained from a mixture of 10%. Aging visibly changed the colors. Conclusions: The coatings obtained were brighter than the initial coating compositions. The top quality formulation was the coating with 5% medium-sized fish scale particles.
