Participants were asked to provide demographics and complete measures of religious struggles, satisfaction with life, and generalized anxiety. Three main findings emerged from the study: (1) In general, participants reported low levels of religious struggles; (2) Turks scored significantly higher than both Palestinians and Malaysians on religious struggles; (3) higher levels of generalized anxiety were predicted by higher levels of religious struggles among Malaysians only, and lower levels of satisfaction with life were predicted by higher levels of religious struggles among Palestinians and Turks only. These findings suggest that the links between religious struggles and health and well-being among Muslims are complex, and call for a nuanced detailed analysis of the religious struggles phenomenon among this population.Publication Metadata only Din psikolojisi(2021-09-01) AYTEN, ALİ; Ayten A.Publication Open Access Sigara içme arzusu ve dindarlık ilişkisinde genel öz-yeterliğin aracı rolünün incelenmesi: Lise öğrencileri üzerine nicel bir araştırma(2023-06-01) AYTEN, ALİ; AYTEN A., GÜVEN Ö. Ayrıca aracılık analizinde, dindarlığın sigara içme arzusu üzerindeki etkisine öz-yeterliğin kısmi olarak aracılık ettiği bulgulanmıştırPublication Open Access Hemodiyaliz hastalarında travma sonrası manevi gelişim üzerine nitel bir çalışma(2022-01-01) AYTEN, ALİ; AYTEN A., CESUR N.As part of the Post-traumatic growth models and research, spiritual growth describes all kinds of positive changes in a person\"s spiritual life after severe life crises. The current study's three aims are: Developing a suitable prosociality scale, examining the links between religiosity, prosociality, anxiety, and satisfaction with life, and investigating the mediating roles of anxiety and prosociality on the link between religiosity and satisfaction with life. The sample consists of 678 Turkish Muslims, 428 females and 250 males, ranged from 14 to 56, with mean age of 31 (SD = 8,973). In the current study, the Individual Religion Inventory, the Turkish Prosociality Scale (TPS), the Satisfaction with Life Scale, and the Generalised Anxiety Scale are applied to the sample. Findings of the correlation matrix indicated positive correlations between religiosity, prosociality and satisfaction with life, and demonstrated that anxiety is related negatively to religiosity and life satisfaction.
