Abstract
Ofset baskı mürekkepleri içeriğinde yer alan hammaddeler genellikle petrokimyasal
maddelerdir.
The raw materials used in the formulation of offset printing inks are generally petrochemicals. The petrochemical substances, contained in the ink component as binders, solvents and additives, are separated from the ink film during and after printing. These substances, which can mix with the air, water and soil, can be harmful to human health and the environment. In this context, two types of cyan color offset printing inks are produced in the study. Ink 1 is formulated with Safflower oil and Pinus pinaster resin, while ink 2 is formulated with mineral oil and Pinus pinaster resin. Test prints were made with the inks on different types of paper using the offset printing technique. Color measurements of the printed papers during printing and after ink drying were made and their suitability for offset printing technique was examined. In addition, a standard cyan color offset printing ink available on the market was analyzed together with the other two inks and compared to the other two inks with natural components. The results of the study show that; Bristol gave the best results among the papers printed with Ink 1 after drying. Bristol was measured at ΔE=6.6136 and density=1.2. With ΔE=10.94 and density=1.14, matte coated paper was the paper with the lowest printing compatibility with this ink. As a result of all analyzes, it was determined that natural components could be used in ink formulation. However, it has been observed that if the proportions of the components are changed for the final standard production, results equivalent to the standard values can be obtained.
