Publication: Sanatsal üretim biçimleri temelinde perpetuum mobile uygulamaları
Abstract
We can say that art carries the driving force necessary for its own existence within its own free character. This happens through a life energy created by the artist, the work of art and the audience that they address and can be influenced by at the same time, together with their existence and effects, which are often intertwined with today's practices. Western Art and the basic sciences, with their lack of function for everyday life and their claim to be free from material concerns, are activities that come into existence in interaction with each other through their own internal dynamics. The spontaneity of Western Art and the science with which it interacts has been a subject of debate. In this study, rather than analyzing and comparing works of art, it is aimed to investigate the relationship of artists with scientific and technical activities that leave deep cultural and social traces and their interaction in the production process. The study investigates how Art, Science and Technology are etymologically and epistemologically separated from each other, or how they come together, as well as the mutual interactions of these three fields. The effects of art, science and technology on each other were examined in the historical process, from Ancient Greece, where the foundations of Western Science were laid, to the present day. The spontaneity in the relationship between art, artist, work of art and buyer was handled with a perspective and artistic questioning that sees art, artist, work of art and spectator together with their intellectual backgrounds and contexts.
