Elektrik teknisyeni yetiştiren programlardaki uygun öğretim yöntemi, öğretim ortamı seçimi ve düzenlenmesinin öğrenci başarısına etkileri nelerdir

Abstract

Elektrik alanı teknik derslerinden biri olan elektrifikasyon dersi, teknoloji ile ilişkili olan içeriği sebebiyle bu dersin başarıyla işlenmesi konusunda uygun ortam ve yöntem seçimine; özellikle de teknoloji ile direkt bağlantılı olan ortam seçimine büyük bir önem yüklemektedir. Ayrıca söz konusu teknik içerikli bir ders olunca seçilen yöntemin uygulanabilirliğinin de yöntemin gerektirdiği ortamın varlığına bağlı olması, ortam seçiminin önemini daha da artırmaktadır. Bu tezde teknik eğitim ve öğretimde yöntem ve özellikle ortam seçiminin önemi vurgulanmış ve bu konuyla ilgili yapılan anketlerin sonuçları da değerlendirilmiştir. Bu anketlerin sonuçlarına göre teknik eğitimde yöntem seçiminin gerektiği gibi hayata geçirilemediği anlaşılmıştır. Fakat bunun nedeni öğretmenlerin yöntem ve ortam seçimi konusundaki yetersizliklerine bağlamak, görünüşte yeterli ama gerçekte fazla düşünülmeden yapılmış bir değerlendirmedir. Anket sonuçlarının, yani uygun öğretim yöntemi seçiminin yapılamayışının nedeni, aslında ders için seçilmiş yöntemin uygulanmasını destekleyici ortamların bulunmamasıdır. Bu ortam eksikliği de, Türkiye'de ortaöğretim düzeyinde eğitim almış hemen her kişinin de doğrulayıcı gibi dersliklerin en fazla geleneksel üçlü (öğretmen, kitap, derslik) ile ders işlenmesine yetecek, sıralarla doldurulmuş odalar olmalarından kaynaklanmaktadır. İşte bu tezde, yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda saptanan bu yetersizliğe dikkat çekilmek istenmiş ve bu problemi elektrifikasyon dersi için ülkemiz şartlarında gidermeye yönelik örnek bir öğretim yöntemi ve ortam düzeni önerilmiştir.

Electrification course, which is among the technical courses in the electrical field, pays great importance to the selection of an appropriate ambiance and methodology for a successful handling of this course, especially to the selection of an ambiance that is directly related with technology, because of its contents that are related with technology. Additionally, if the course that is in question has a technical content, the selection of the ambiance gains more importance because the applicability of the selected methodology is dependent on the existence of the ambiance that is necessitated by the methodology. The importance of the technical education and the teaching methodology and especially of the selection of the ambiance has been emphasized in this dissertration and also the results of the interviews that were performed with relation to this subject have been evaulated. According to the results of these interviews, it has been understood that the selection of the methodology in technical education has not been realized to the extend that is necessary. However, claiming that this is because of the insufficiency of the teachers in the matter of methodology and ambiance selection seems to be sufficient initially, but in fact it is an assessment without being thought over properly. The reason for not being able to select an appropriate teaching methodology is the non-existence of ambiance that supports the application of the methodology that is in fact selected for the course. And the non-existence of this ambiance is due to the fact that the calassrooms are such rooms that are filled up with desks and barely enough to handle this course with the conventional three elements (teacher, books, classrooms) , as everybody who has received a secondary education in Turkey can confirm. The purpose of this dissertation is to draw the attention to the insufficiency, that was determined through the interviews, and an exemplary education methodology and ambiance arrangement for the removal of this problem in the field of electrification under the conditions in our country have been proposed.
