Abstract
MARMARAY SIGNALING SYSTEMS AND SIMULATION OF INTERLOCKING SYSTEM WITH SCADA Today, due to population growth in cities, it is very important that transportation can be done in a shorter time. As the railway is safe, fast and more passengers can carry freight, the rate of transportation increases day by day. The goal is to prevent accidents in rail transport. This is why signaling systems have been developed. The signaling systems are used to move from one place to another safely, quickly and uninterruptedly. It was decided to establish a common system called ERTMS (European Train Management System) and a subsystem called ETCS (European Train Control System) in this system for the uninterrupted travel of the trains between the European Union countries. This means that the onboard equipment on the trains can be recognized by the signaling system in other countries. Since our country is a candidate for the European Union, ERTMS/ ETCS system is used on high-speed train lines. With the opening of Marmaray, a new system was used for the first time in suburban lines. According to this system called CBTC (Communication Based Train Control), trains can follow each other at the brake distance. There can be more than one train in a physical block on this count. In this study, the historical development of signaling systems is mentioned. The equipment of the signaling system is explained. In addition, details of ERTMS and CBTC systems applied together at Marmaray Project are given. The interlocking system is programmed with Mitsubishi PLC (Programmable Logic Control) and simulated with HMI (Human Machine Interface) program. According to the information in this study signaling and simulation training is given to TCDD maintenance personnel. Interlocking Systems, European Traffic Management System (ERTMS), Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Marmaray Signaling Systems, PLC, SCADA,
