Türkiye ekonomisinde para politikası ve enflasyon arasındaki ilişkinin analizi

Abstract

Türkiye ekonomisinde özellikle 1990’lı yıllar boyunca karşılaşılan kronik yüksek enflasyon ekonomik ve sosyal yapıda önemli tahribatlara yol açmıştır. 2000 yılı sonrasında ise enflasyonu düşürmeye yönelik önemli para politikası uygulamaları yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye ekonomisinde 2003:01-2011:6 dönemi için, TCMB para politikası faiz oranı ve enflasyon arasındaki karşılıklı etkileşimi ekonometrik olarak ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın ekonometrik sonuçlarına göre, kısa dönemde Granger nedensellik bağlamında, TCMB politika faizi enflasyonu etkilemezken, diğer yandan, enflasyon ise kısa dönemde TCMB politika faizini etkilemektedir. Uzun dönemde ise, kointegrasyon sonuçları, TCMB politika faizi ve enflasyon arasında karşılıklı olarak aynı yönde bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Türkiye ekonomisinde enflasyonu köklü bir sorun olmaktan çıkarmak için yapısal sorunların çözülmesine yönelik ekonomi politika ve stratejileri geliştirilmelidir.

Chronic high inflation encountered in Turkish economy after the 1990s resulted in important damages on the economic and social structures. After the year 2000, it is implemented important monetary policies. In this context, main aim of the study is to investigate the interactive relationship between the policy rate of the CBRT and inflation in Turkish economy for the period 2003-2011 by econometric methods. Main emprical findings of the study are that the policy rate of the CBRT does not Granger cause of the inflation, but the inflation does Granger cause of the the policy rate of the CBRT in the short run. On the other hand, in the long run, these variables are cointegrated and affect each other directly and mutually. In order to eliminate inflation as a chronic problem, it should be developed economic policies and strategies to solve the structural problems of Turkish economy.
