Abstract
zleyici Katılımı, Temsil, Televizyon ve Gerçeklik ÖZET TELEVİZYONDA DEĞİŞEN İZLEYİCİ KATILIMI: EKRAN-STÜDYO GERİLİMİ Bu tez, televizyon ekranından izleyiciye ulaşan programların, özellikle tür olarak en yaygın olan “kadın ve tartışma programları”na katılan stüdyo konuklarının yaşam alanlarının açığa çıkarılması, stüdyo mekânlarının ekran başındaki izleyiciye gösterdikleriyle, ekran başındaki izleyiciden gizledikleri arasındaki çift taraflılığı; cinsiyetçilik ve yurttaşlık kavramları altında ele alarak incelemektedir. Bu çalışma seçtiği ve alan araştırması yaptığı tartışma ve kadın programlarına katılan stüdyo izleyicisinin programa katılma nedenlerini, program süresince kendilerine müdahale eden yönetmen, yapım ekibi, stüdyo şefi, sunucu gibi kişilerle stüdyo izleyicisi arasındaki ilişkiyi açığa çıkarmaya çalışmaktadır. Programlarda anlatılan “ gerçek olayların”( evlilik-kayıp- cinayet) stüdyo izleyicisinin kendi “gerçeğini” yorumlaması üzerindeki etkilerinin neler olduğu yerinde gözlem, derinlemesine görüşme yöntemleriyle tartışılır. Televizyonun yaşam gerçekliğini değiştirirken neleri temsil edip neleri dışarıda bıraktığı, dışarıda bıraktıklarının ekrandaki izleyiciye nasıl aktarıldığı, medyanın ekonomik dönüşümü içerisinde öne çıkan alanların gelişim şeması ile açıklanmaktadır. Bu tezde kültürel alan ile medyanın kesişimi stüdyo izleyicisinin anlam dünyası üzerinden incelenmektedir. Audience Participation, Representation, Television and Reality
TELEVISION AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION IN TRANSITION: SCREEN AND STUDIO TENSION This dissertation examines the unmasking of the living areas of the studio guests participating in, - particularly as the most common type of television programs- discussion and women television programs, dual-aspect of what studio spaces show and hide from the television audience under the concepts of sexism and citizenship. This study, tries to reveal the studio audience’s reasons of participating in discussion and women programs constituting the object of our field research, the relation between studio audience and director, production team, studio chief and announcer who intervene it during the program. What are the impacts of “real events” (marriage- loss- murder) presented in the programs on the studio audience’s interpretation of reality? The response of this question is discussed by participative observation and in-depth interviews. When television changes the reality of life, it’s represented and excluded ones, how those excluded ones are transferred to the television audience, is explained by the development scheme of fields prominent in the economic transformation of the media. In this dissertation, the intersection of the cultural space and the media is investigated through the studio audience’s world of meaning.
