Abstract
Bu çalışma, Avrupa Birliği'nin Hırvatistan ile olan ikili ilişkileri ve Hırvatistan'ın Katılım Avrupalılaşması sürecine olan etkilerini incelemektedir. Bu noktada çalışma boyunca sıklıkla kullanılan ''Avrupalılaşma'', ''Yeni Kurumsalcılık'' gibi kavramlar tarihsel gelişim süreçleriyle ele alınmaktadır. Benzer şekilde, Avrupa Birliği'nin Batı Balkan ülkeleri ve Hırvatistan ile kurulan ikili ilişkileri ve Hırvatistan'ın üyelik süreci Avrupalılaşma ekseninde tartışılmaktadır. Avrupa Birliği'nin katkısıyla Avrupalılaşma kapsamında geçirdikleri dönüşüm sürecinin her bir bölge ülkesine göre farklılık göstererek ilerlediği ve Hırvatistan'ın hâlihazırda Avrupa Birliği'ne üye olmayı başarabilmiş tek bölge ülkesi olması gerçeğinden hareketle; Hırvatistan toplumunun diğer Batı Balkan toplumlarının aksine daha yüksek oranda AB karşıtı olmasına rağmen, Hırvatistan'daki yerel aktörlerin ve AB'nin uyumlu birlikteliği ile ülkenin katılım Avrupalılaşması, ilk kez bir Batı Balkan ülkesinde başarıya ulaşabildiği bu tez çalışmasında argüman olarak ileri sürülmüştür.
This study examines the bilateral relations of the European Union with Croatia and its effects on the Accession Europeanization process of Croatia. At this point, concepts such as Europeanization and New Institutionalism, which are frequently used throughout the study, are discussed with their historical development processes. Similarly, the bilateral relations of the European Union with the Western Balkan countries and Croatia and the membership process of Croatia are discussed on the axis of Europeanization. Considering the fact that the transformation process they went through within the scope of Europeanization with the contribution of the European Union progressed differently according to each regional country and that Croatia is the only regional country that has managed to become a member of the European Union; Despite the fact that Croatian society is more anti-EU unlike other Western Balkan societies, the harmonious cooperation of local actors in Croatia and the EU and the accession Europeanization of the country and the success of the country for the first time in a Western Balkan country have been put forward as an argument in this thesis study.
