Turgut Cansever'in düşüncesinde şehir ve İstanbul

Abstract

TURGUT CANSEVER DÜŞÜNCESİNDE ŞEHİR ve İSTANBULBu çalışma, çağımızda yaşamış, şehircilik alanında çalışmalarda bulunup önemli mimari eserler ve projeler meydana getiren mimar Turgut Cansever’in şehir ve İstanbul’a dair düşüncelerini sistemli olarak ele almaktadır. Tezin ilk bölümünde Turgut Cansever’in hayat öyküsü, yürüttüğü görevleri, mimari ve yazılı eserlerine ver verilmiştir. Bu bölümde ayrıca mimarın düşünce yapısının oluşmasında etkili olan kaynaklar ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde Turgut Cansever’in şehir ile ilgili düşünceleri, bu düşüncelerini oluşturan öğeler olarak planlama, çevre, mimari, mahalle, ev kavramlarına dair görüşleri eserleri ve söylemleri üzerinden örnekleyerek derlenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Turgut Cansever’in İstanbul’a dair görüşleri, İstanbul’un yönetimi ve şehirleşme problemlerini çalışmaları ekseninde ele alarak, sunduğu çözümleri sistematik bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Cansever’in görüşlerini mimari ile temellendirir. Bu bağlamda Cansever’in İstanbul’un mimarisine ve kültürel mimarlık mirasının korunması ile ilgili görüşlerine de yer verilmiştir.

CITY and ISTANBUL in TURGUT CANSEVER’S THOUGHTSThis study systematically approaches the thoughts of architect Turgut Cansever, “who lived in our century and Works on urban planning” on Istanbul and urbanism.In the first chapter of the thesis, we handled his life also his written and architecturel Works.Besides, we discussed the sources that are effective in the formation of the Cansever’s thoughts.In the second chapter of the thesis, we complied his views on his works and speeches about urbanism that include the concepts on planning, environment, architecture, neighborhood and house.In the third chapter of the thesis, we covered his views on Istanbul in the axis of his works about management of Istanbul and the problems of urbanism. As well as we examined solutions that he offered.Cansever based his views on architecture. In this context we also touched on his views about architecture of Istanbul and the protection of cultural architectural heritage.
