Hakikate ulaşmada ötekini tanımak : İbn Rüşd'de din, Schelling'de sanat

Abstract

Bu tezin amacı; İbn Rüşd’de felsefe-din, Schelling’de felsefe-sanat ilişkilerinin kuruluşunu iki filozofun birbirleriyle olan benzerliğinde ortaya koymaktır. Filozofların metinleri ve felsefe-öteki ilişkisine yönelmelerinin tarihi, ortak bir gaye için aynı metodolojiyle mercek altına alınmıştır. Bu ortaklık, başlıkların paralel kurgulanışında da aşikâr hale gelmiştir. Tezde “öteki” kavramıyla aynı çatı altında buluşturduğumuz olgu İbn Rüşd için dinken, Schelling için sanattır. Bu nedenle her ikisinin de nasıl bir süreçten geçerek her iki filozofun düşüncesinde yer bulduğu birinci bölümde incelenmiştir. Bu incelemeyle her ikisinin yolculuğunda da benzer motiflerin olduğu, başka bir ifadeyle dinin de sanatın da her iki filozofta felsefeyle bir gerilim noktasına ulaştığı vurgulanmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise; İbn Rüşd’ün ve Schelling’in kendilerine ulaşan ötekiyi nasıl anladıkları ve onları felsefeyle nasıl uyumlu hale getirdikleri incelenmiştir. Bu uyumun keyfiyetinde iki filozofun da ortak felsefi refleksler verdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda; farklı dönem ve coğrafyaların filozofları olan İbn Rüşd’ün ve Schelling’in, felsefe-öteki ilişkisini yeniden yapılandırarak hakikate dair kuşatıcı bir anlayış geliştirdikleri ortaya çıkmıştır.

This thesis aims to reveal the definition of the relationship between philosophy-religion in Averroes and between philosophy-art in Schelling in the analogies between the two philosophers. For this purpose, the works in which these philosophers express the mentioned issue have been used as primary sources. The historical context of the philosophers' engagement with texts and the philosophy-other relationship has been examined using a common methodology for a shared objective. This commonality is also obvious in the parallel title architecture. The first part examines how religion (for Avicenna) and art (for Schelling), gathered under the common concept as the other, confronted the two philosophers in the study, through what process, and in what ways. It is emphasized that the other of both philosophers reached the period of philosophers in tension with philosophy with similar motives. In a sense, the history of religion and art as the other for philosophy is tried to be captured in their parallels with each other. The second part examines how Averroes and Schelling understood the other that reached them and how they harmonized them with philosophy. It has been observed that both philosophers exhibit shared philosophical reflexes in the manifestation of this reconciliation. As a result of the study, it was revealed that Averroes and Schelling, philosophers of different periods and geographies, developed a comprehensive understanding of truth by restructuring the relationship between philosophy and the other.
