Abstract
Amaç: ‘Dijital olanaklardan etkili bir şekilde yararlanma fikri’, eğitim – öğretim alanında bir
gereksinim olarak çok öncesinde düşünülmeye başlamış, COVID-19 Pandemisi’nde ise zorunlu bir
uygulamaya dönüşmüştür. Bu süreçte örgün ya da yüz yüze eğitime entegre edilebilecek uzaktan
eğitim yöntemlerinin avantajları bir kez daha görülmüştür. Yoğun bir etkileşim sağlayan çevrimiçi
eğitim platformları, pandemi koşulları içinde en çok tercih edilen ortam olarak değerlendirilmişlerdir.
Deneyim ile öğrenmenin temel bir gereklilik olduğu sanat ve tasarım alanlarına bakıldığında ise
uzaktan eğitimin hangi sonuçlar doğuracağı, verimli bir şekilde yapılıp yapılamayacağı tartışılan
konuların başında gelmiştir. Tasarım eğitiminin ana omurgası uygulamalı çalışmalar ile teorik
bilginin eş zamanlı olarak sunulması mantığına dayanmaktadır. Teorik bilginin bu süreçten
ayrıştırılması, uygulamaların geliştirilmesinde karşılaşılan durumlara yönelik anlık ve/veya sonuç
odaklı sentezlerinin yapılamayacak olması, ortak çalışmanın doğuracağı sinerji ortamının
sağlanamayacak olması cevabı aranan en temel sorulardır.
Yöntem: Grafik sanatlarda yüz yüze eğitim modeline entegre edilebilecek uzaktan eğitim
uygulamalarının tespitini amaçlayan bu çalışmada; Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi
Grafik Sanatlar Bölümü lisans programında yer alan Grafik Resim, Yayın Grafiği ve Çocuk Kitapları
İllüstrasyonu derslerinin pandemi sürecindeki işleniş biçimleri örneklem olarak ele alınmıştır.
Uzaktan eğitim nedeniyle kullanılması zorunlu hale gelen çevrimiçi uygulamalar öncelikli başlık
olarak değerlendirilmiş, ayrıca uzaktan ve yüz yüze eğitim modellerindeki zorluklar ve artılar
karşılaştırmalı incelenerek çeşitli veriler elde edilmiştir. Yöntem olarak betimsel bir araştırma modeli
uygulanmış, bu doğrultuda tasarım eğitimi, uzaktan eğitim ve yüz yüze eğitim başlıklarındaki bilgiler
derlenmiştir.
Bulgular: Elde edilen bulgular ve geliştirilen öneriler tasarım eğitimini kapsayacak şekilde iletişim,
ders materyali, ders dışı etkinlik ve ölçme – değerlendirme olmak üzere dört farklı başlıkta
toplanmıştır.
Sonuç: Uzaktan eğitimde yaygın olarak kullanılan çevrimiçi uygulamaların doğaları gereği eğitmen
ve öğrenciler arasındaki iletişimi kuvvetlendirdiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca görsel dağarcığın
geliştirmesinde etkin bir kanal olarak kullanılan sanal ortamların rahatlıkla bir çeşit arşive
dönüştürülebileceği anlaşılmıştır. Çeşitli sebepler nedeniyle derse katılma olasılığı güç olan
uzmanların webinar veya benzeri etkinlikler sayesinde derslere pratik biçimde katkı yapabilecekleri
düşünülmüştür. Ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemleri kapsamında kullanılan çeşitli dijital ya da mobil
uygulamaların etkin bir kontrol sağlayabileceği ve dolayısıyla gelişimi de beraberinde getirebileceği
tespit edilmiştir.
Purpose: The idea of 'using digital opportunities effectively' began to be considered as a need in the field of education and training long ago, and has turned into a mandatory practice in the COVID-19 Pandemic. In this process, the advantages of distance education methods that can be integrated into formal or face-to-face education have been seen once again. Online platforms that provide intense interaction have been evaluated as the most preferred environment in pandemic conditions. When we look at the fields of art and design, where learning with experience is a basic requirement, the results of distance education and whether it can be done efficiently are among the topics discussed. The main backbone of design education is based on the simultaneous presentation of practical studies and theoretical knowledge. Separation of theoretical knowledge from this process, the inability to make instant and/or result-oriented syntheses for the situations encountered in the development of practices, and the fact that the synergy environment will not be provided are the most basic questions to be answered. Method: In this study, which aims to determine the distance education methods that can be integrated into the face-to-face education model in graphic arts; The teaching styles of Graphical Drawings, Publication Graphics and Children's Book Illustration courses in Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Arts Department undergraduate program during the pandemic process were taken as a sample. Online applications, which have become obligatory due to distance education, were evaluated as a priority topic, and various data were obtained by comparatively examining the difficulties and advantages of distance and face-to-face education models. As a method, a descriptive research model was applied, and in this direction, information on design education, distance education and face-toface education were compiled. Results: The findings and suggestions obtained as a result of these comparisons and compilations are gathered under four different headings, including communication, course material, extracurricular activities and measurement-evaluation, covering design education. Conclusion and Suggestions: According to this; It has been seen that the online applications, which are widely used in distance education, strengthen the communication between the instructor and the students due to their nature. In addition, it has been understood that virtual environments, which are used as an effective channel in the development of visual vocabulary, can easily be transformed into a kind of archive. It is thought that experts, who are unlikely to attend the course due to various reasons, can contribute to the courses in a practical way through webinars or similar activities. It has been determined that various digital or mobile applications used within the scope of measurement and evaluation methods can provide effective control and therefore bring development.
