Üyesi Zümrüt BİLGİN Programın Adı : Ebelik Yüksek Lisans Amaç: Bu çalışmada, doğum sonrası ağrı ve anksiyeteyi azaltmada ekspressif dokunmanın ve lavanta inhalasyonunun etkisinin karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, Yalova ilindeki bir hastanede Nisan 2022-Nisan 2023 tarihlerinde, doğum sonu kliniğinde çalışmaya dahil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan 157 anne ile yürütülmüştür. Anneler randomizasyon yöntemi ile gruplara (53 deney 1, 53 deney 2, 51 kontrol) ayrılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri “Anne Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu”, “Durumluk Kaygı Ölçeği” ve “Görsel Kıyaslama Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Deney grubu 1’e ekspressif dokunma, deney grubu 2’ye lavanta inhalasyonu uygulanmış, kontrol grubuna ise rutin bakım verilmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan annelerin yaş ortalaması 31,61±4,95’dir. Çalışma grupları sosyo-demografik, obstetrik ve mevcut gebelik özellikleri açısından benzerlik göstermiştir (p>0,05). Grupların müdahale öncesi Durumluk Kaygı Ölçeği ve Görsel Kıyaslama Ölçeği ortalamalarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmadı (p>0,05). Müdahale sonrası deney grubu 1’in Görsel Kıyaslama Ölçeği puan ortalaması 4,415±1,262, deney grubu 2’nin 4,019±0,971, kontrol grubunun 5,392±1,150’dır (p<0,05). Müdahale sonrası anksiyete düzeyleri ortalamaları deney grubu 1’in 1,509±0,19, deney grubu 2’nin 1,507±0,239, kontrol grubunun 2,199±0,42 olarak saptanmıştır (p<0,05).
Title of the thesis: Comparison of the Effect of Expressive Touch and Lavender Inhalation in Reducing Postpartum Pain and Anxiety Student’s Name: Ayşenur ÇİNTEMUR Supervisor’s Name: Assist. Prof. Dr. Zümrüt BİLGİN Graduate Department: Midwifery Master's Program Aim: In this study, it was aimed to compare the effect of expressive touch and lavender inhalation in reducing postpartum pain and anxiety. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in a hospital in Yalova province between April 2022 and April 2023 in a postpartum clinic with 157 mothers who met the inclusion criteria. Mothers were divided into groups (53 experiments 1, 53 experiments 2, 51 controls) by randomization method. The data of the study were collected using the Mother Descriptive Information Form, State Anxiety Inventory and Visual Analog Scale. Experimental group 1 was given expressive touch, experimental group 2 was given lavender inhalation, and the control group was given routine care. Findings: The mean age of the mothers participating in the study was 31.61±4.95. The study groups were similar in terms of socio-demographic, obstetric and current pregnancy characteristics (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the pre-intervention State Anxiety Inventory and Visual Analog Scale mean scores of the groups (p>0.05). After the intervention, the Visual Analog Scale mean score of the experimental group 1 was 4.415±1.262, the experimental group 2 was 4.019±0.971, the control group was 5.392±1.150 (p<0.05). The mean post-intervention anxiety levels were found to be 1.509±0.19 in the experimental group, 1.507±0.239 in the experimental group 2, and 2.199±0.42 in the control group (p<0.05). Pain scores and anxiety levels of the experimental groups were lower than those of the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Postpartum pain and anxiety scores in the intervention groups were lower than those in the control group. Expressive touch and lavender inhalation should be applied to reduce postpartum pain and prevent anxiety of mothers.
