Publication: Genç ve yıldız takımlardaki kadın basketbolcuların antrenörlerde bulunmasını istedikleri ve antrenörlerde bulunan önderlik tarzlarının tespiti: büyükşehir il örneği
Abstract
Bu araştırmada ele alınan konu 2018-2019 Türkiye Basketbol Federasyonu ve Gençlik Spor Bakanlığının ortaklaşa düzenlediği İstanbul Mahalli Basketbol Liglerinde genç ve yıldız kadın takım basketbolcularının antrenörlerde bulunmasını istedikleri önderlik tarzlarının belirlenmesidir.Araştırmaya Türkiye Basketbol Federasyonu’ndan 2018-2019 sezonuna lisanslandırılmış ve İstanbul Altyapı Liglerinde yarışmış 342 kadın basketbolcu, 22 antrenör ve 20 kulüp katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, “antrenman ve eğitim”, “sosyal destek davranışı”, “pozitif geribildirim”, “demokratik davranış”, “otokratik davranış” alt boyutlarından oluşan Liderlik Davranışı Ölçüm Anketi kullanılmıştır. Likert ölçeğine göre oluşturulmuş olan her iki anketten elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 paket kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre sporcular “otokratik davranış” alt boyutuna düşük beklentili değerlendirme yaparken “antrenman ve eğitim”, “sosyal destek davranışı”, “demokratik davranış” alt boyutlarında yüksek beklenti belirtmişlerdir. “Pozitif geribildirim” alt boyutunda da beklenti antrenörlerin belirttiği uygulamanın anlamlı ölçüde altında kalmıştır. Katılımcı sporcuların “demokratik davranış” beklentisi antrenörlere göre anlamlı ölçüde yüksektir. Yapılan bu araştırma ile oyuncuların nasıl bir antrenör ile çalışmak istediği ve takım antrenörlerinin nasıl önderlik tarzlarına sahip olduğu bulunacak ve karşılaştırılacaktır. Bu doğrultuda Türkiye Basketbol Federasyonu Kadın Basketbol Liglerinde oynayacak oyuncuların etkili iletişim, öz benlik ve spor performansı gelişimlerine ve aynı zamanda antrenörlerin de kendilerini geliştirmesi açısından katkı sağlanması hedeflenmiştir.
THE DETERMİNATİON OF THE EXİSTENT LEADERSHİP QUALİTİES OF A COACH AS WELL AS THE QUALİTİES THAT THE U18 AND U16 FEMALE TEAMS EXPECT FROM THEİR COACHS.This study tries to analyze what is the leadership expectations of women basketball players from their coaches. The players had played for U16 and U18 Basketball Women Teams, which had played in the leagues which is organised Turkish Basketball Federation and Ministry of Sport and Youth in 2018-2019 season.342 female basketball players, 22 coaches and 20 clubs all licenced by Turkish Basketball Federation in 2018-2019 season and competed in Istanbul juniors league have taken place in this research.As for data collecting, Leadership Attitude measurement survey which is based on “training and education” “social support behaviour” “positive feedback” “democratic attitude” “autocratic behaviour” has been used. The data that is gathered from these surveys which were formed according to Linkert scale have been analysed by using SPSS 22.0.According to the survey results, the participant athletes have shown low rating to “autocratic behaviour” whereas high expectation rating to “training and education” and “social support behaviour”. The expectation on “positive feedback” have shown remarkably low rating than the expectations of the coaches. The players’ expectations for “democratic attitude” has shown strongly higher then coaches’.Thanks to this research, the leaderships types of coaches will be studied, compared and triest to put out which kind of coach is expected by women players. Again this research enables us to determine the leadership method of the coaches who the athletes would like to work with as their natural leaders. This research achieves to contribute to the self development of the coaches as well as the sports performance, self-esteem and effective communication skills development of the players who will be able to play in Turkish Basketball Federation Women Leagues.
