Abstract
Peygamber’in (s.a.v) hadislerinden bilinmektedir.
Throughout the history of Islamic education, the teaching of the Qur'an has been carried out in various institutions with various methods. It is known through the ahadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that learning how to read the Qur’an is a duty upon all believers. When we look at the Prophet’s (pbuh) ahadith, we see that he emphasized the importance of knowledge with sayings such as: “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” Teaching the Qur’an includes not only its meaning, but also its pronunciation. Throughout education history, both areas were considered important and teaching younger children how to properly recite the Qur’an became a common practice in almost all time periods. As the language of the Qur’an is Arabic, teaching the Arabic alphabet, also known as ‘alifba’, forms the basis of this education. Alifba methods, which are used to teach how to recite the Qur’an, are the main subject of this study. It mentions various methods of alifba education and various teaching methods that developed in time are discussed. Qualitative research on an alternative teaching method called ‘Sound-Based Alifba’ is conducted on a group of students between the ages of 8 and 11. The findings of this online, semi-experimental research are evaluated. As a result of the research, the in-group measurements of the students who were taught using the Sound Based Alifba method were recorded repeatedly and a positive difference was observed between their levels before and after the group.
