Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of a Novel Series of Methylcinnamate Derivatives of 15-Crown-5

Abstract

A series of novel methylcinnamate derivatives of 15-crown-5 have been synthesized. The derivatives of methylcinnamate have been prepared by a synthesis from the corresponding chromenone-crown ether with MeONa/MeOH or KOH, CH3I, and DMSO as solvent.
