Blockchain teknolojisinin finans sektöründeki yeri ve uygulamaları

Abstract

Dijital dünyanın getirdiği değişime her sektörden kurumlar ve çalışanlar ayak uydurmaya çalışırken devletler de bu değişimin dışında kalmamalıdır. Bu çalışmada teknolojik değişimin finansa dokunduğu yerlerde karşılaşılan Fintech (Finansal Teknoloji) kavramı ve bu kavramın en güncel başlıklarından biri olan Blockchain'e yer verilmiştir.Blockchain temel olarak değer içeren verilerin (para, kimlik, değerli kağıtlar gibi) güvenli ve emin bir şekilde depolanması ve yönetilmesi için tasarlanmış bir teknoloji olarak tanımlanır. Blockchain teknolojisi sağladığı tam otomatik, şeffaf, güvenli ve minimum aracı alt yapısı ile pek çok sektörün ve devletin ilgisini çekmektedir. Çalışmada, Blockchain teknolojisinin finans sektöründeki etkileri ve uygulama alanları değerlendirilmiştir. İlgili teknolojinin olumlu-olumsuz yönleri incelenerek genel bir bakış açısı getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ek olarak Blockchain teknolojisinin diğer sektörlerdeki etki alanlarına da değinilmiş, örnek uygulamalar sunulmuş, finans sektöründe biruygulama örneği tavsiye edilmiştir. Tezin amacı, anlama ve uygulama konusunda henüz çok yeni ve yolun başında olan Blockchain teknolojisinin finans sektöründeki etkilerine odaklanmaktır.

Institutions and employees from every sector are trying to keep up with the change that digital age brought into and the States should not be excluded from this trend. In this study, the Fintech (Financial Technology) concept that is encountered where technological change intersects with finance and Blockchain, which is one of the mostup-to-date titles of this concept are covered. Blockchain is primarily defined as the technology designed for storing and managing data that carries value (such as money, identity, precious paper) securely and firmly. Blockchain technology attracts many industries and governments based on to its fully automated, transparent, secure and firsthand infrastructure. In this thesis, the effects and application areas of Blockchain technology in the financial services sector are evaluated. The positive and negative aspects of the related technology have been examined and tried to obtain a general perspective. Furthermore, the study addressed to areas of influence regarding Blockchaintechnology in other sectors and example applications are presented, in addition a case study in the financial services sector is recommended. The aim of this thesis is to focus on the effects of Blockchain technology in the finance sector although it is still very recent in respect of comprehension and implementation, and contribute to the academic literature as a guideline.
