Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi'nin Durûb-ı Emsâl : Zürefâ Kelâmı adlı eseri

Abstract

Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi'nin Durûb-I Emsâl: Zürefâ Kelâmı Adlı Eseri Kelime anlamı “örnek”, “örnek verme” olan mesel ve darb-ı mesel, on beşinci yüzyıldan itibaren yazılı kaynaklarımıza girmiş ve çoğul şekli olan “Durûb-ı Emsâl” adında pek çok atasözü mecmua, risale ve kitapları telif edilmiştir. Erzurumlu Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi’nin “Durûb-ı Emsâl: Zürefâ Kelâmı” adlı eseri de bunlardan biridir. Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemi ile Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kuruluş dönemini yaşamış, Millî Mücadele’ye katılmış, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi’nin ilk döneminde mebus olmuş Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi’nin, döneminin siyasi ve sosyal olaylarını da yansıttığı ve kendi hattıyla yazdığı bu eserinin de derleme atasözleri ve deyimler kitabı diyebileceğimiz durûb-ı emsâllere önemli bir örnek teşkil edecektir.

Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi's Literary Work Durûb-ı Emsâl: Zürefâ Kalamı “Mesel” and “darb-ı mesel”, which have the meanings of “example” and “exemplify”, have entered our written sources since the fifteenth century and many proverb journals, tracts and books have been copyrighted since then, called “Durûb-ı Emsâl” that means the plural form this meaning. Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi(who is from Erzurum)'s literary work “Durûb-ı Emsâl: Zürefâ Kalamı” is one’s of them. Reflecting political and social events of his period and written out by his own handwriting Yeşilzâde Mehmed Salih Efendi’s this literary work will be an important example of “durûb-ı emsâl” that we can call the book of compilation of proverbs and idioms; -who lived during the last period of the Ottoman Empire and foundation period of the Republic of Turkey, joined National War of Independence, became deputy of the first term of The Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
