Abstract
KOZMETİK PREPARATLARDA KULLANILAN BAZI KORUYUCULARIN ANTİMİKROBİYAL AKTİVİTELERİNİN BELİRLENMESİNDE KULLANILAN YÖNTEMLERİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI ÖZET Kozmetik ürünlerde, ürünün kullanım sırasında kontamine olma olasılığına karşı ürüne koruyucu olarak bilinen antimikrobiyal maddeler eklenmektedir. Çalışmamızda kozmetik ürünlerde kullanılan 4 farklı ticari kombinasyondan, bronopol, propil paraben, metil paraben ve fenoksietanol içeren A koruyucusu; diazolinidil üre, sodyum benzoat ve potasyum sorbat içeren B koruyucusu; fenoksietanol, benzoik asit ve dehidroasetik asit içeren C koruyucusu; propilen glikol, benzil alkol, metilizotiazolinon ve metilkloroizotiazolinon içeren D koruyucusunun etkinliği Amerikan, İngiliz ve Japon Farmakopelerinde yer alan koruyucu etkinlik testlerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Tüm koruyucuların denenen konsantrasyonları Amerikan, İngiliz ve Japon Farmakopelerine göre etkili bulunmuştur. Anahtar Sözcükler: Koruyucu, koruyucu etkinlik testi, kozmetik, şampuan.
Comparison of Methods Used For The Determination of Antimicrobial Activities of Some Preservatives Used In Cosmetic Preparates Antimicrobial substances are added to the cosmetic products in order to prevent contamination that may occur during application of the product. In this study, the efficiency of 4 different commercial combinations used in cosmetic products, which were combination of bronopol, propyl paraben, methyl paraben and phenoxyethanol, preservative A, combination of diazolidinyl urea, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, preservative B, combination of phenoxyethanol, benzoic acid and dehydroacetic acid, preservative C and combination of propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, methylisothiazolinone, methylchloroisothiazolinone, preservative D, were evaluated their preservative effectiveness according to United States Pharmacopoeia, British Pharmacopoeia and Japan Pharmacopoeia. Tested concentrations of these four preservative systems were found to be effective according to United States, British and Japan Pharmacopoeia.
