İşletmelerde ar-ge projeleri yönetimi ve bir araştırma

Abstract

Şirketler ve ülkeler arası rekabetin teknoloji ve yenilik üzerinden yürüdüğü bu dönemde Ar-Ge çalışmalarının verimliliği ve etkinliği ilgi çeken bir konu olmuştur. Özellikle Ar-Ge çalışmalarının proje temelli yürütülmesi sebebiyle bu ilgi Proje Yönetimi, Proje Seçimi, Proje Değerlendirme, Risk Yönetimi gibi Ar-Ge Projelerinin doğru seçiminden başlayıp onların doğru yönetilmesini ve doğru sonuçlandırılmasını sağlayan konularda yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada Ar-Ge kavramı, işletmelerde Ar-Ge faaliyetleri ve Ar-Ge yönetimi üzerine ilgili tüm konuları kapsamaya çalışan farklı bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirmeler yapılmaya ve Ar-Ge Projelerinin Yönetimi ile ilgili teorik bir çerçeve oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bununla birlikte literatürde bahsi geçen yöntemlerin işletmelerde bir kullanım alanına sahip olup olmadığı ve bu yöntemlerin hizmet ettiği amaçların ne şekilde gerçekleştiği sorularına bir araştırma üzerinden cevap aranmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda bu alanla ilgili literatürle pratik saha arasında çok ciddi bir mesafe olduğu ve bu mesafenin ancak her iki tarafın birbirine yaklaşmak suretiyle kapatılabileceği ortaya çıkmış, bu amaca yönelik çeşitli somut öneriler de geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma Geliştirme (Ar-Ge), Ar-Ge Yönetimi, Ar-Ge Projeleri Yönetimi, Proje Yönetimi, Teknoloji Yönetimi, Yenilik Yönetimi.Effectiveness and efficiency of R&D activities have been recently attractive research fields since the technology and innovation are one of the most important qualities for the competition between companies and even countries. This attraction focuses on fundamental topics about systematic management of R&D projects such as ‘Project Management, Project Selection, Project Evaluation and Risk Management, as project-based R&D activities have increased exponentially over the past decades. In this study, issues related to ‘R&D concept’, ‘R&D activities in industry’ and ‘R&D management’ are investigated. Theoretical framework of R&D Project Management is developed. This study, also, examines the applicability and practicality of the tools available in the literature to the industry; and how the companies manage their R&D projects without those tools. The results of this research show that there is a huge gap between practical and theoretical implementations which can be only minimized with collaboration of industry and academia. Therefore, practical and solid recommendations are proposed for this collaboration.
