Abstract
ÇALIŞANLARIN KAYGI DÜZEYLERİNİN PERFORMANS ALGILARINA ETKİSİ Kaygı neredeyse tüm canlılarda var olan bir duygudur. Özellikle 21.yy’da insan kaygıyı hergün yenilenen biçimler altında yaşamak zorunda kalmıştır. Ancak kaygı herzaman kötü olarak algılanmamalıdır. Her duygu gibi kaygı da, kişinin yaşamını sürdürebilmesi ve yaşamdan zevk alabilmesi için gereklidir. Iş yaşamında yüksek kaygı bazen olumsuzlukları beraberinde getirirken, normal düzeyde bir kaygı da başarıyı getirebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, iş yaşamı içerisindeki kişilerin kaygı düzeylerinin kendi performans algısına etkileri sorgulanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, perakende sektöründe yer alan bir firmanın merkez ofis ve mağaza çalışanlarının kaygı düzeylerinin ve performans algılarının ne olduğu ve birbirleriyle etkileri araştırılmıştır. Tez üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, kaygının ne olduğu, kaynağı ve çeşitleri ele alınmıştır. Ikinci bölümde, performans kavramı üzerine yoğunlaşılarak performansı etkileyen faktörler, performans değerlendirme yöntemleri ve performans algısı açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise, çalışanların kaygı düzeylerinin performans algılarına etkisine yönelik olarak yapılan çalışmanın detaylarına ve sonuçlarına yer verilmiştir. THE EFFECT OF THE ANXIETY LEVELS OF EMPLOYEES ON PERCEPTIONS OF PERFORMANCE Anxiety is an emotion that exists in almost all living things. Especially in the 21st century people have been forced to live under the forms of anxiety which is renewed every day. But the feeling of anxiety shouldn't always perceived as bad. As every feeling, anxiety is also required for the people to survive and take pleasure from life. While sometimes accompanied by anxiety, negativity at work, a normal level of anxiety can bring success. In this study, the effects of work-life perception of their own performance in the anxiety levels of people questioned. In this context, a firm's head office located in the retail sector and anxiety levels and performance of store employees' perceptions of what is and investigate the effects of each other. Thesis consists of three main parts. In the first chapter, what is anxiety, its origins and varieties were discussed. In the second chapter, focusing on the concept of performance factors affecting performance, tried to explain the perception of performance evaluation methods and performance. The third and last section, in order to influence employees' perceptions of performance anxiety levels of detail, and the results of the study are presented.
