Gazete baskısında renk yönetim sisteminin uygulanması

Abstract

GAZETE BASKISINDA RENK YÖNETİM SİSTEMİNİN UYGULANMASI Baskı hazırlık aşamasından, baskı sonuna kadar renk güvenirliliğini amaçlayan ve doğru baskı provası veren renk yönetim sistemi, gelişmiş ülkelerde hızla yayılmış ve uluslararası standartlarda da yerini bulmuştur. Renk yönetim sisteminin uygulanması için bazı uyarlamalar yapılması gerekmektedir. Öncelikle kuruluşlarda renk yönetiminin ihtiyacı olan alt yapı hazırlanmalı ve gerekli standardizasyon çalışmaları tamamlanmalıdır. Standartlaşmamış bir üretim için renk yönetiminin uygulanması mümkün değildir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle gazete üretimi incelenmiştir. Baskı öncesi ve baskı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Haberlerin toplanıp, basılı ürün oluşturulana kadar fotoğraf üzerinde yapılan düzeltmeler açıklanmıştır. Çalışmanın devamında renk hakkında teoriye dayalı bilgiler ve renk ölçüm sistemleri açıklanmıştır. Masaüstü yayıncılıkta ve ölçüm sitemlerinde kullanılan temel renk evrenleri ile ilgili bilgi verilmiştir. Renk yönetimi sisteminin temel unsurları ve iş akışı açıklandığı bölümün ardından gazete baskılarının ihtiyaç duyduğu parametreler açıklanmış ve gazeteler için renk yönetim sisteminin uygulanmasındaki farklılar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümün sonunda, operatörlerin renk yönetim profilleriyle masaüstü yayıncılık yazılımlarında nasıl çalışacaklarına değinilmiştir. Tezin sonuç bölümünde, uygulamada karşılaşılan güçlükler ve çözüm önerileri açıklanmıştır.

APPLICATION OF COLOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN NEWSPAPER PRINTING Color management system that aims color integrity from printing preparation phase to the completion of the printing and provides correct print proofing, has quickly evolved in developed countries and took its place in international standards. Certain adaptations must be implemented for the application of color management system. Primarily, infrastructure that is required by the color management needs to be established and necessary standardization procedures shall be completed. Color management cannot be implemented in non-standardized production. Newspaper production has been the focus of attention in this study. Information regarding pre-printing and printing has been presented. Corrections performed on the photograph from gathering of the news to providing the printed product have been explained. Theoretical information on color and color measurement systems are explained in the annexes of this manuscript. Information on basic color spaces utilized in desktop publishing and measurement systems is presented. Following the part that defines the basic aspects of color management system and workflow; parameters required by newspaper printings are explained and information regarding variations in application of color management system for newspapers has been provided. In the and of the second part, the way that operators shall work with color management profiles in desktop publishing software is stated. In the conclusions part of the thesis, difficulties encountered in application and solution suggestions are stated.
