Hz. Peygamber Döneminde Medine Sâfile’deki Ensar Yurtlarında Bulunan Mescitler

Abstract

Medine’deki ilk mahalle mescitlerinin teşekkül süreci hicret öncesine, Akabe Görüşmeleri (620-622) neticesinde Medine’de başlayan tebliğ faaliyetlerine dayanır. Bu süreçte belirli yerler namaz kılmaya münhasır kılınmış, hicret sonrasında Hz. Peygamber’in Mescid-i Kubâ ve Mescidi Nebevî’yi inşâ etmesiyle Medine’deki ilk mescitler teşekkül etmiştir. Yine de Allah Resûlü döneminde Medine’deki ensar mahallelerinde inşâ edilen mescit sayısının sınırlı olduğu görülür. Bunların sayısı planlı olarak sürdürülen bayındırlık faaliyetleri neticesinde Emevîler (41-132/661- 750) döneminde artmıştır. Zaman içerisinde Hz. Peygamber döneminde mescit işlevi gören mekânlarla Emevîler döneminde inşâ edilenler arasındaki ayırım unutulmuştur. Bu durum, konu ile ilgili rivayetlere oldukça detaylı yer veren şehir tarihlerini de etkilemiştir. Yine de dikkatli bir kaynak incelemesiyle Allah Resûlü’nün ensar evlerini ziyâret vb. sebeplerle namaz kıldığı ve Emevîler döneminde o namaz kıldığı için üzerinde mescit inşâ edilen mekânlarla, namaz kıldığı ya da ziyaret ettiği sırada da mescit olan yani namaz kılmaya ayrılmış bulunan mekânları ayırt etmek mümkün olmaktadır. Bu makalede henüz Hz. Peygamber hayatta iken Medine’nin Sâfile bölgesinde mevcut olan mescitler tespit edilmiş ve sonradan inşâ edilenlerden ayırmamızı sağlayacak yönleriyle incelenmiştir. Bunlar Benî Muâviye, Benî Zafar, Benî Zureyk, Benî Mâzin, Benî Beyâda, Benî Sâide, Benî Abdüleşhel, Benî Hârise ve Benî Amr b. Mebzûl Mescitleridir. Medine mescitleri ile ilgili kaynakların yanı sıra çağdaş araştırmalar da gözden geçirilmiş, eksiklikleri tespit edilmek suretiyle bu araştırmayı öncekilerden farklı kılan hususlar net bir şekilde ortaya konulmuştur. Although first muhajirs and the leading figures of ansar started to reserve some places to prayer before hijrah, we cannot call them “first masjids” yet. After the Prophet’s emigration, the first masjid built-in Madinah is the Masjid al-Quba and the second is the Masjid al-Nabawi. In ten years after hijrah, reserving places for prayer limitedly continued. When the Prophet passed away forth, the companions found themselves searching for the Prophet's prayer locations and during the period of the Umayyad dynasty, this process was turned to be a huge construction activity for Madinah masjids. Even though the local masjids, belonging to different types of tribes were thin on the ground in the reign of the Prophet, they were mentioned in the books of Madinah history with enormous numbers. The fact that there were no structures on most of The Prophet's prayer places is seemed to have been forgotten in history books related to Madinah either intentionally or unintentionally. Instead of searching the places like gardens, houses, or war headquarters that the Prophet Muhammad had prayed on, this article examines the local masjids built literally in the reign of the Prophet Muhammad in the Safilah region of Madinah. It analyses the masjids not only through historical records of ancient sources but also related contemporary studies and criticizes them.
