Abstract

Sosyal Ağlar, Toplumsal Muhalefet, Demokrasi, Kamusal Alan ÖZET TOPLUMSAL MUHALEFET AÇISINDAN SOSYAL MEDYA PRATİKLERİNİN DEMOKRATİK İŞLEVLERİ Bu tez, toplumsal muhalefet açısından sosyal medya pratiklerinin demokratik işlevlerine odaklanmaktadır. Yeni medyalar söylemsel etkileşim alanlarını, toplumsal muhalefetin “kolektif eylem” yoluyla demokratik katılımı gerçekleştirebildiği sosyal ağlar ile aktivist hareketler arasındaki karşılıklı kurucu ilişkiyi demokratik müzakere süreçlerinin oluşturabileceği fırsatlar bağlamında sosyal ağlar aracılığıyla etkin kılabilmektedir. Böylece toplumsal yapıda gömülü bulunan, -politik-ekonomik-ideolojik- düşüncelerin senkronize biçimde müzakereye açılmasının araçları da olabilmektedirler. Bu amaçla çalışmada yeni politik kültürün oluşum sürecinde, sivil toplumun güçlenmesinde önem kazanan sosyal ağlar, yeni müzakere alanları olarak değerlendirilerek demokrasi düşüncesinin geleceği yeni medya kültürüyle girdiği ilişki bağlamında inceleniyor. DEMOCRATIC FUNCTION OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA PRACTICES IN TERMS OF SOCIAL OPPOSITION This thesis focuses on the functions of the democratic practices of social media in terms of social opposition. Areas of discursive interaction with new media, social opposition collective action democratic participation through social networks can perform mutually constitutive relationship between activist movements in the context of democratic negotiation processes through social networks effectively make their pose opportunities. Thus, embedded in the social structure, and political-economic-ideological considerations can also be tools to synchronize the opening of negotiations. For this purpose, the process of the formation of a new political culture, social networks has gained importance in the strengthening of civil society, democracy, the idea of a new negotiating areas are considered to be examined in the context of the relationship into the future of new media culture.
