Mesleki eğitim merkezlerindeki DKAB dersinin öğrencilerin iş ve meslek ahlakı anlayışına etkisi

Abstract

Bireyin hayata tutunup toplumda statü ve yer edinmesinde, meslek sahibi olması ve yaptığı işin, edindiği mesleğin gereğini değer yargılarıyla çelişmeden ifa etmesinin önemi büyüktür. Ahlaki değer ve yargıları oturmuş, meslek ve vizyon sahibi bireyler toplumda hak ettikleri yeri her zaman muhafaza etmişlerdir. Araştırmada Mesleki Eğitim Merkezi öğrencilerinin Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi ders başarı düzeyi ile iş ve meslek ahlakı düzeyini ölçmeyi hedefleyen ölçek puanları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Mesleki ve Teknik Eğitim Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı, örgün eğitim içerisinde yer alan Mesleki Eğitim Merkezi öğrencilerine Akademik Başarı Testi ve Mesleki İş Etiği Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Nicel yaklaşıma dayalı olan araştırmada elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde öğretmen ve okul yöneticileriyle gerçekleştirilen birebir görüşme bulgularından da yararlanılmıştır. Konu, amaç ve önemi gibi bölümlerin yer aldığı giriş kısmının ardından çalışmanın birinci bölümünde araştırmanın temel kavramları açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde Türkiye’de iş ve meslek ahlakı anlayışının tarihsel gelişimine yer verilmiş, üçüncü bölümde mesleki eğitim merkezlerinde din eğitiminin seyri işlenmiştir. Çalışmamızın saha bulgularına yer verdiğimiz dördüncü ve beşinci bölümlerinde elde edilen araştırma bulguları sistematik biçimde sunulmuştur. Çalışma neticesinde mesleki eğitim merkezlerinde okutulan DKAB dersi öğretim programının iş ve meslek ahlakı anlayışı açısından öğrencilerin akademik seviyelerine uygun olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Having a profession and fulfilling the requirements of this profession without any confliction with their values are crucial for an individual’s ability to hold on to life and gain status and place in society. Individuals with well-established moral values and judgments, and possess a profession and vision, have always maintained their deserved place in society. This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between Vocational Education Center students’ success in the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge course and their scale scores measuring their work-professional ethics. For that purpose, the Academic Achievement Test and the Professional Work Ethics Scale were applied with the students at Vocational Education Centers affiliated with the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education, which are part of formal education. In the analysis of the data obtained in the research based on the quantitative approach, the findings of in person interviews with teachers and school administrators were also used. Following the introductory section, which includes sections on the scope, purpose, and importance of the subject, the first section explains the fundamental concepts of the study. The second section examines the historical development of work and professional ethics in Türkiye, and the third section examines the course of religious education in Vocational Training Centers. The fourth and fifth sections, which include field findings, systematically present the research findings. The study concludes that the “Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge” course curriculum taught in Vocational Training Centers is inappropriate for the students’ academic levels in terms of work and professional ethics.
