İSLÂM DÜNYASINDA TARİH METODU ÇALIŞMALARINA BİR ÖRNEK: HAMÎDETU'L-USÛL İslâm tarihçiliğinin zengin birikimi içerisinde yer almakta olan tarih metodu ve metodolojisi ile ilgili çalışmalar -Tarih'in diğer pek çok alt dalı gibi- siyasî tarih ve biyografi eserlerinin gölgesinde kaldığından İslâm tarihçiliği telifatının en az bilinen kısımlarından birini teşkil eder. İslâm tarihçiliğinin yeterince bilinmeyen bu ürünlerinin gün ışığına çıkarılması tarihçilerin öncelikli görevlerinden biridir ve bu bağlamda ilk olarak İslâm dünyasında ortaya konulmuş, günümüze ulaşabilen genel olarak bütün ilmî birikimin özelde de Tarih kitaplarının toplu bir envanterinin ortaya konulması gerekmektedir. İkinci aşama ise, söz konusu tüm bu birikimin anakronik ve taraflı yaklaşımlardan uzak olarak muhteva analizine tabi tutulmasıdır. Bu gerekliliklere katkıda bulunmak üzere tez konusu kılınan tarih metoduna dair Hamîdetu'l-usûl adlı eser, 19. yüzyıl âlim ve bürokratlarından Serkitâbî Gelenbevîzâde Ahmed Tevfik Efendi'nin telifidir. Tarih metodu muhtevalı olmasına rağmen Fıkıh usûlü, Hadis usûlü, Mantık, Âdab gibi İslâmî ilimlere ait kavramlardan yoğun olarak faydalanılan eser, Tarih Asrının ürettiği sorulara ve sorunlara klâsik İslâm geleneğinin birikimi ile modern dönem Batı tarihçiliğindeki yaklaşımların telifiyle cevap verme arayışındadır. One of the priorities of the historians is bringing to light these rarely known studies. In this context, it is necessary to bring up the inventories of scholarly aggregation which arrived until today and partiticularly historical books. In the second phase, the content of aforementioned accumulation should be analyzed as independent from the anochronic and biased approches. The study of Hamîdetu'l-usûl on historical method which was studied as a thesis in order to contribute aforesaid necessities is the compilation of Serkitâbî Gelenbevîzâde Ahmed Tevfik Efendi. The Study which benefits from the concepts of Islamic Science belonging to the method of Fıqh and Hadith, Logic, Adâb altghough it was about history tries to answer the questions and problematics of Historical Era by combining accumulation of clasiccal Islamic tradition with the approaches in the modern Western Historical Writing.
