Publication: Tip 1 diyabetli adolesanlarda sorun çözme becerisi
Abstract
Tip 1 diyabetli adolesanların sorun çözme becerilerinin iyi olmasının ve diyabetle ilgili aldıkları sorumluluk davranışlarının gelişmesinin metabolik kontrol üzerine etkisi saptanmamıştır. yabet, sorun çözme, diyabet yönetimi, kendi kendine bakım, adolesan PROBLEM SOLVING SKILL IN ADOLESCENTS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES
Problem solving is an adaptation process to the life and an important skill for diabetes management and good metabolic control. The adolescents who have responsibility for the diabetes self management should have good problem solving skills. The research was planned as a descriptive study to determine the effects of problem solving skills in adolescents on their metabolic control. The scope of the research was the whole registered adolescents with type 1 diabetes between 13-17 years old in İ.Ü İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Gelişme ve Endokrinoloji Ünitesi' ne and SB İstanbul Göztepe Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Pediatrik Endokrinoloji Bölümü . The sample was the adolescents who were in hospitals for their routine control between 27.07.2004-06.04.2005 and appropriate for the sample criterions. The collection of data, the information form about adolesencents and metabolic control results form which was developed by the researcher based upon the literatures, Diabetes Problem Solving Measure for Adolescents, Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale and Diabetes Self-Mastery Questionnaire were administered to the adolescents. Cronbach' s alpha coefficient for the Diabetes Problem Solving Measure for Adolescents was 0,81; for the Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale it was 0,88 for frequency and 0,93 for responsibility and for Diabetes Self-Mastery Questionnaire it was 0,74. Diabetes Problem Solving Measure for Adolescents, Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale and Diabetes Self-Mastery Questionnaire have good validity and reliability. In the research there was a statistically significant correlation between Diabetes Sorun Solving Measure for Adolescents and Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale for frequency. There was no significant correlation between Diabetes Problem Solving Measure for Adolescents and Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale for responsibility and Diabetes Self-Mastery Questionnaire. There was no significant correlation between Diabetes Problem Solving Measure for Adolescents and Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale, Diabetes Self-Mastery Questionnaire and HbA1c. In the research it was found out that adolescents with type 1 diabetes have problem solving skills and diabetes responsibility behaviors and metabolic control has no relationship with problem solving skills and diabetes responsibility. Key Words : Diabetes, problem solving, diabetes management, self-ca
