Şâfiî Bir Âlim Olarak Kutbüddin er-Râzî ve el-Hâvi’s-sağîr ’in Mukaddimesi Üzerine Yazdığı Şerhin Neşir, Tercüme ve Tahlili

Abstract

İslam düşünce tarihinde felsefe ve mantık alanlarındaki katkıları sayesinde özel bir yer edinen VIII./XIV. yüz-yılın büyük âlim ve düşünürlerinden Kutbüddin er-Râzî, İslami ilimlerle de ciddi düzeyde ilgilenmiş ve bu ilgisi tefsir ve fürû-ı fıkıh sahalarında eser telifiyle tezahür etmiştir. Usul ve fürû-ı fıkıh ilimlerindeki birikiminden ötürü Şâfiî yazarlar tarafından ismi mezhep âlimleri arasında sayılan Râzî, yaşadığı dönemde mezhebi temsil eden en önemli fürû-ı fıkıh metinlerinden biri olan Abdülkerim el-Kazvînî’nin el-Hâvi’s-sağîr’ini şerh etmiştir. Bu makalede, ilk olarak Râzî’nin bir Şâfiî âlim olarak portresi sunulacak, kendisinin mezhep âlimlerince ve tabakât yazarlarınca nasıl telakki edildiği, üzerine şerh yazdığı eserin Şâfiî fürû-ı fıkıh literatüründeki yeri ve Râzî’nin bu metne ilgisinin nasıl şekillendiği üzerinde durulacak; ardından metnin kişi, kavram ve mensubiyet haritasından hareketle Râzî’nin mezhebî mensubiyeti ve İslam düşünce tarihinde hangi çizgiyi takip ettiğine dair tespitlere yer verilecektir. Makale, Şerhu’l-Hâvi’s-sağîr’in günümüze ulaşan giriş kısmının neşir ve tercümesi ile son bulacaktır.

Quṭb al-Dīn al-Rāzī, an eminent eighth/fourteenth-century scholar, holds a special place in the history of Islamic thought because of his contributions to philosophy and logic. In addition, his strong interest in the Islamic sciences manifested itself in his writings in the fields of Islamic law and Qur’anic exegesis. The Shāfi‘īs regarded him as one of their school’s scholars due to his expertise in uṣūl and furū‘ al-fiqh. He also wrote a commentary on ‘Abd al-Karīm al-Qazwīnī’s al-Ḥāwī al-Ṣaghīr, a significant doctrinal text of this school. This study opens with a portrait of al-Rāzī as a Shāfi‘ī scholar, analyzes how his Shāfi‘ī peers and the ṭabaqāt (biographical dictionaries) writers perceived him, and then examines the place of al-Ḥāwī al-Ṣaghīr in the school’s literature. After touching upon why he became interested in this book, the study discusses al-Rāzī’s scholarly affiliation and the intellectual line that he followed based upon the personal, conceptual, and affiliation maps deduced from the text. The study concludes with the edition and translation of the surviving section of his Sharḥ al-Ḥāwī al-Ṣaghīr.
