Geç Hitit dini ve mitolojisinde Anadolu ve Assur etkisi

Abstract

“Geç Hitit Dini ve Mitolojisinde Anadolu ve Assur Etkisi” konulu tezimizde, Demir Çağı’nda Geç Hitit coğrafyasında kurulmuş Melid, Tabal, Kummuh, Gurgum, Sam’al, Que, Hilakku, Karkamıš, Bit Agusi, Pattin ve Hama devletlerinin dini yapı üzerindeki doğu-batı etkisini günümüze ulaşan orthostat, yazıt ve steller aracılığıyla inceledik. Birinci bölümde Geç Hititlerin ana unsuru olan Luwi ve Aramilerin, Geç Hitit öncesi dini yapılarını tartıştıktan sonra bu devletlerin siyasi tarihlerini komşularıyla olan ilişkilerini ön plana alarak kısaca inceledik. İkinci bölümde Geç Hitit dini sanatının çevre kültürlerden nasıl etkilendiğiyle başladık. Bölümün devamında Geç Hititlerde yazılı ve görsel eserlerde görülen kurban, libasyon, ölü gömme ve tapınakları karşılaştırmalı olarak inceledik. Yazılı ve görsel eserlerden en yaygın görüldüğünü düşündüğümüz Geç Hitit dini yapısına ait Tarhunzas, Kubaba, Runtiyas, Ay ve Güneş Tanrısı’na atıfta bulunan ya da tasvirini içeren eserleri bir araya toplayarak bunları bulundukları yerler, bir arada anıldıkları semavi varlıklar ve içeriğiyle tekrar doğu-batı etkisi ekseninde değerlendirdik. Geç Hitit dünyasında en yaygın karşılaşılan mitolojik varlıklar ve sembollere değinerek eserimizi sonlandırdık. Bu çalışma ile hem Geç Hitit dini ve inanç öğelerini bir arada toplamak, hem de Yakındoğu’daki farklı dini temaların Geç Hitit coğrafyasında nasıl izler bıraktığını tek bir eser altında ortaya koymayı amaçladık.

In our thesis titled “The Influence of Anatolian and Assyrian Elements on the Neo-Hittite Religion and Mythology” through the analysis of orthostats, inscriptions and stelae that found in Melid, Tabal, Kummuh, Gurgum, Sam’al, Que, Hilakku, Karkamıš, Bit Agusi, Pattin and Hama, we examined the impact of the western and eastern influences on the religious stractures in the Neo Hittites States during the Iron Age. In the first section, we discussed the pre-Neo Hittite Luwian and Aramean religious structures than we briefly talked about the political histories of these, emphasizing their relations with neighboring regions. The second section begins with briefing how surrounding cultures influenced religious art of the Neo Hittites and continious with explaning and comparisoning the religious acts such as; sacrifice, libation, burial practices and temple types. We gathered works referring to or depicting the Neo Hittites gods, including Tarhunzas, Kubaba, Runtiyas, the Moon and the Sun Deity. Then we evaluate these works in terms of their locations, the celestial beings that these gods associated with and their content, once again considering the axis of eastern and western influences. Concluding our work, we touched upon the most commong mythological scenes and symbols from the Neo Hittite world. With this study, our aim was to bring together the elements of Late Hittite religion and belief, and to present how different relogious themes in the Near East left traces in the Neo Hittites in a single work.
