Publication: El-Harisi ve Müsnedü Ebî Hanîfe adlı eserinin hadis ilmi açısından değerlendirilmesi
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the biography of al-Hārithī, and his work by the name “the Musnad of Abī Ḥanīfa” with regards to the science of hadith. As of the first period of Islamic History, there had been put forth many works, that are called the Musnad of Abī Ḥanīfa, with an eye to total the narratives of Abū Ḥanīfa. These callections, that are produced notably by the Hanafī sectarian scholars, were being compiled starting from the 2nd century AH, and later subjected to a set of scholarly studies.During the first period AH, in the emergence of this work, which combines the narratives of Abū Ḥanīfa, some allegations especially of foregrounding “the opinion” by the Hanafī sectarian scholars, and of possessing a little of the ahādith play an important role.In this sense, the Musnad of Abī Ḥanīfa, which was compiled by al-Hārithī, shines out among the Musnads of Abū Ḥanīfa, for it was both produced during the early period AH and became a reference to the posterior compilations in the following periods. In the first chapter of this study, at the outset, the period al-Hārithī lived through, his life, and his scholarly identity are examined; and the criticism concerning al-Hārithī are commented upon.As for the second chapter, first, the musnad is analyzed as a form; and then the examples of this form down to the time of al-Hārithī are presented. Thereafter, the biography and the scholarly identity of Abū Ḥanīfa are touched upon briefly. Finally, the Musnad of Abī Ḥanīfa by al-Hārithī is examined with regards to the science of hadith.
