Abstract
Kar amacı güden ya da güdmeyen bir sosyal varlık olarak tanımlanan örgüt; sanayi devriminden sonra, yönetimin temel birimi olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bu sebeple, firmalar insan sermayesine önem vermenin rekabetçi ortamda vazgeçilmez bir yöntem olduğunu anlamaya başlamışlardır. Etkili mülakat yöntemleriyle de en uygun kişiyi işe almaya daha fazla özen göstermişledir. Bu yöntemler üç bölümde incelenebilir. “Interview Techniques in Personnel Selection Process and a Case Study in a Consulting Company” isimli bu tez çalışmasının ilk bölümünde, personel seçim süreçleri hakkında genel bilgi verilmiştir. Bu bölümde, seçim kriterleri ve ve değerlendirme standartları ele alındıktan sonra, personel seçim sürecinde uygulanan yaklaşımlar incelenmiştir. Daha sonra sırasıyla, personel seçme yöntem ve prosedürleri açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölüm, “The Scope of Interviews” başlığı altında hazırlanmıştır. Bu bölümde; mülakat yapmanın faydaları, sınırlamaları, çeşitleri ve olası mülakat hataları vurgulanmış, mülakat teknikleri ve değerlendirme süreçleri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde; bir danışmanlık firması hakkında bilgi, bu firmada hali hazırda kullanılan ve şirketlere insan kaynakları ve istihdam konusunda önemli katkıları olan “Targeted Selection” yöntemi ve STAR tekniği anlatılmıştır. Tez çalışması hakkındaki yorum ve değerlendirmelere ise “Conclusion” kısmında yer verilmiştir.
After the industry revoluation, the organization which is a social entity including both profit or non-profit is assumed the basic figure in management. For this reason, companies have started to realize that giving importance to human capital is the essential way surviving in competitive environment. And they began to pay much greater attention to hire more fitting people for their business through using effective interview methods. These methods should be analysed in three parts. In the first chapter of this “Interview Techniques in Personnel Selection Process and a Case Study in a Consulting Company” thesis, general information about the personnel selection process is given. In this chapter, after the selection criteria and standards of evaluation are explained, the approaches applied during personnel selection are mentioned. Next, personnel selection methods and procedures are discussed respectively. The second chapter is prepared under “The Scope of Interviews” title. In this chapter; the benefits, restrictions, types of interview and interview mistakes are emphasized; interview techniques and interview evaluation processes are mentioned. In the third chapter, information about a consulting company, the details of “Targeted Selection”, “STAR” technique that is currently using in this firm, which has important contributions to business enterprises about human resources and employment issues, is given. The comment and evaluation about the information obtained throughout the thesis is revealed in “Conclusion” part.
