COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde ilköğretim matematik öğretmenlerinin online ders işleyiş süreçlerine ilişkin görüşleri

Abstract

Tüm dünyada ve Türkiye’de birçok alanda etkisini gösteren Covid-19 pandemisinin etkilediği alanların başında eğitim gelmektedir. Pandemi sebebiyle Türkiye’de eğitim online bir şekilde devam etmiştir. Bu sürece hızlı bir geçişle birlikte öğrencilerin sınıf ortamı evlerine taşınmıştır. Bu süreçte yaşananlarla ilgili öğretmenlerin dersleri işleyişleri hakkındaki görüşleri önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim matematik öğretmenlerinin pandemi sürecinde yaptıkları online ders işleyiş süreçlerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma yöntemi olarak nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Mersin ilinde yer alan okullarda görev yapan 6 ortaokul matematik öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Bu görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Katılımcıların her bir soruya verdikleri cevaplar detaylı incelenmiş̧ olup verilen cevaplardan belirli kodlar elde edilmiştir. Oluşturulan kodlar, ilgili sorulara göre temalara ayrılmıştır. Bu tema ve kodlardan elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenler yaptıkları online ders işleyiş süreçleri hakkında bilgi edinilmiş etkinlik kullanmadıkları saptanmıştır. Çalışmadan ortaya çıkan bulgular kapsamında yapılacak olan çalışmalara ve araştırmacılara ilişkin öneriler de sunulmaktadır.

Education is forefront the fields affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has an impact on many areas all over the world and in Turkey. Due to the pandemic, education in Turkey continued remotely. With a rapid transition to this process, the classroom environment of the students moved to their homes. The teachers' experience of the course processes is important in relation to what happens in this process. The aim of this research is to determine the views of primary school mathematics teachers about the online course process they did during the pandemic. As a research method, phenomenological research type, one of the qualitative research designs, was used. The sample of the study consisted of 6 secondary school mathematics teachers working in schools in Mersin. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained from these interviews were analyzed by content analysis method. The answers given by the participants to each question were examined in detail and certain codes were created from the answers given. These codes are divided into themes according to the relevant questions. According to the findings obtained from these themes and codes, it was determined that the teachers did not use any activities that were informed about the online course process. Suggestions for future studies and researchers are also presented within the scope of the findings of the study.
