İç göç sonrası bireylerin işgücüne katılımını etkileyen faktörlerin semiparametrik logit modelleri ile incelenmesi

Abstract

İç göç konusu Türkiye için geçmişte olduğu gibi günümüzde de oldukça öneme sahip bir konudur. Türkiye’nin Cumhuriyet tarihi boyunca değişen ekonomik ve siyasi koşullar bireylerin ülke içinde bir yerden başka bir yere göç etmesine neden olmaktadır. Göç eden bireylerin mekânsal hareketliliği işgücü piyasasını da etkilemektedir. Göçün işgücü piyasası üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi göç eden bireylerin işgücüne katılım biçimlerinin tespit edilmesi ile mümkündür. Bireylerin işgücüne katılmasını etkileyen bir dizi faktör bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı 2011 yılında Türkiye’de iç göç sürecine katılan bireylerin işgücüne katılımını etkileyen faktörleri tespit etmektir. Araştırmada Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TUİK)’e ait 2011 yılı Nüfus ve Konut Araştırması (NKA) mikro verisinden yararlanılmıştır. Ekonometrik analiz yöntemi olarak parametrik ve semiparametrik logit modelleri kullanılmış ve bu modeller arasında karşılaştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre semiparametrik logit modelinin bireylerin işgücüne katılmasını etkileyen faktörleri parametrik logit modeline göre daha iyi açıkladığı görülmüştür.

The internal migration issue is also an issue having great importance nowadays as it was in the past. The changing economic and political conditions through the history of the Republic of Turkey internally cause the individuals to migrate to some place from some place. The spatial mobility of migrated individuals also affects the labor market. Researching the effect of migration on the labor market is possible by determining the participation features of individuals to the labor market. There are a series of factors affecting the participation of individuals to the labor market. This study aims to determine the factors affecting the participation of individuals participated in the internal migration process to the labor market in Turkey in 2011. The year 2011 Population and Housing Research (PHR) micro data belonging to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI) was benefited from the research. The parametric and semiparametric logit models were used as the econometric analysis method, and a comparison was made between those models. It was seen that the semiparametric logit model clarified the factors affecting the participation of individuals to the labor better than the parametric logit model as a result of the research.
