Abstract
REFLECTION OF REALPOLITIK TO TURKISH-GERMAN RELATIONS: RETURN OF GERMANS TO THEIR COUNTRY AND DISABLING THE REST IN TURKEY (1944-1945) During World War II, Turkey maintained the equilibrium policy to stay out of the war. Since the war had gone in favour of The Allies some pressure have been put on Turkey to participate in it. In these conditions, Turkey had stopped exporting chrome to Germany, then eventually have cut off diplomatic relations with Germany. German ambassador being in the first place, some diplomats and German nationals left Turkey. Back in those days, some German citizens appealed to the Turkish authorities to stay in Turkey. These are interned in some cities of Anatolia. After a while some German diplomats who could not have been interchanged with Turkish diplomats, joined to this group. Internment period has ended after circumstances had changed at the end of the War (December 1945) and Germans were released to go whereever they want.
