Çalışmamızın konusu olan Mustafâ Safvet Efendi tarafından 19. yüzyılda Mısır’da yazılan Hidâyet-i Mübtedîyân ve Miftâh-ı Lûgat-ı Osmâniyân adlı eser bir fihrist, bir mukaddime ve yedi baptan oluşur. Eser, medrese öğrencileri için yazılmış, 97 sayfalık Arapça-Türkçe bir dil bilgisi kitabıdır.
