Publication: Bir üniversite kampüsündeki öğrencilerin yeme tutum ve davranışlarının değerlendirilmesi
Abstract
Bu çalışma; Bir üniversite kampüsündeki öğrencilerin yeme tutum ve davranışlarını belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Verilerin toplanmasında üniversite öğrencilerinin sosyo-demografik özelliklerini tanımlamak ve yeme davranışlarını öğrenmeye yönelik “Bilgi Formu”; yeme tutumu ve davranışlarını belirlemek için “yeme tutumu testi“ kullanıldı. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular değerlendirilirken, istatistiksel analizler için NCSS 2007&PASS 2008 Statistical Software (Utah, USA) kullanıldı. Araştırmaya katılan 316 üniversite öğrencisinin yaş ortalaması 20.28±1.65, %67.7’si erkek, %32.3’ü kadın; %0.6’sı evli, %99.4’ü bekar, %23.4’ü ailesi ile birlikte, %6.6’sı akrabaları ile, %30.1’i yurtta, %39.9’u yalnız ya da arkadaşlarıyla birlikte yaşamakta, %15.2’sinin gelir düzeyi iyi iken, %77.2’sinin orta ve %8.5’inin kötü; %20.8’inin BKI düzeyi zayıf , %68.4’ünün normal ve %10.8’inin ki normalin üstü olduğu, BKİ normal olanların daha fazla sigara kullandığı bulgusuna ulaşıldı. Üniversite öğrencilerine uygulanan YTT puan ortalaması 15,99±8,65 olarak tespit edildi. YTT ile cinsiyet, yaşanılan yer, diyet yapma, egzersiz yapma, zayıflatıcı ilaç kullanımı, laksatif ilaç kullanma, beslenme şekli, ailenin yeme konusunda baskı yapması arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu belirlendi. Çalışmanın sonucunda risk grubunda olan öğrencilerin erken müdahale için elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda ilgili birime yönlendirilmesi, beslenmeyle ilgili eğitim programlarının planlanması, ailelere gerekli eğitimin verilmesi önerilerinde bulunuldu. Avarege age of the 316 students attending the study was 20.28±1.65, 67.7% male, 32.3% female, 0.6% married, 99.4% single, 23.4% living with family, 6.6% living with relatives, 30.1% living at dormitory, 39.9% living alone or with friends, 15.2% have good income, 77.2% moderate income and 8.5% bad income; 20.8’% have body mass index as thin, 68.4% normal and 10.8% over normal, it was found that the ones who have BMI normal, smoke cigarette more often than the other groups. Avarege score of YTT applied on university students was found 15,99D8,65. Significant differences were found statistically between YTT and sex, the place of living, being on a diet, doing exercise, using pills and laksatives, the way of nutrition , the families’ pressure on eating. Orientation of the students at risk group to the special department for the early intervention , planning the educative programs about nutrition, giving the essential education to the families were recommended.
