Öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin çocuk haklarına bakışının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma Uluslararası Okul Psikolojisi (İnternational School Psychology Assocation), ISPA'nın başlatmış olduğu çocuk haklarının bugünkü durumu ve istenen gelişmeler hakkında çocukların ve eğitimcilerin görüşlerini belirlemeyi amaçlayan uluslararası bir projenin bir bölümüdür. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'de öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin çocuk haklarına bakışı değerlendirilmektedir. İlişkisel tarama modelinde olan bu araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul ili Kadıköy, Kartal, Beşiktaş ilçelerinde bulunan lise ve ilköğretim okullarının 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarında okuyan 12, 13 ve 14 yaşlarındaki öğrenciler ve bu okullarda görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Bu ilçelerde 16 okulda toplam 448 öğrenci; 24 okulda toplam 409 öğretmen araştırmanın örneklemini meydana getirmiştir. Araştırma anketinde teması Çocuk Hakları'na Dair Sözleşme'den alınan 40 soru sorulmuştur. Verilerin çözümlenmesi Windows ortamında çalışan SPSS programının 6.1 versiyonu kullanılarak yazılmıştır. Grupların karşılaştırılmasında ve test edilmesinde Varyans analizi ve T testi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada aşağıdaki denenceler sınanmıştır: 1. Öğrencilerin çocok haklarına bakışı yaşlarına, cinsiyetlerine, okudukları okul türüne, anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyine göre değişmekte midir, 2. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin çocuk haklarına bakışı arasında fark var mıdır; 3. Öğretmenlerin çocuk haklarına bakışı mesleki kıdemlerine ve alanlarına göre değişmekte midir; 4. Okul ve ev ortamında hakların önemi ve varlığı açısından fark var mıdır, Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular şu şekilde özetlenebilir: 1. Öğrencilerin çocuk haklarına bakışı yaşlarına, cinsiyetlerine, okudukları okul türüne, anne ve babalarının eğitim düzeyine göre değişmektedir, 2. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin çocuk haklarına bakışı arasında anlamlı bir fark vardır, 3. Öğretmenlerin çocuk haklarına bakışı mesleki kıdemlerine ve alanlarına göre değişmektedir; Okul ve ev ortamında hakların varlığı ve önemi açısından fark vardır.

This research is a part of a project which International School Association (ISPA) has started and aims to determine the biew of children and educators about the sitaation and desired developments of children's rignts in tihs day. In this study, the view of teachers and children to the children's rights in Turkey is evaluated. The 12, 13 and 14 years old students studying in the 6, 7 and 8 classes of the high schools and primary schools which are in Istanbul city Kadıköy, Kartal, Beşiktaş districts and the teachers who are in charge in this schools; 409 teachers in 24 schools serves as sample for this research in these districts. In the research questionnaire, 40 questions taken from the Agreement Concerning Children's Rights are asked. The analysis of tha datas is written by using the 6.1 version of the SPSS program working in Windows media. While comparing and testing the groups, Variance analyse and T technic is used. In this recearch the subjects listed below are examined: 1. Does the view of students to the childrens's rights change according to their ages, sex, the type of school they study, and the eduacational level of mother and father; 2. Is there any difference between the view of teachers and students to the children's rights; 3. Does the view of teachers to the children's rights change according to their professional seniority and area; 4. Is there any difference between school and home environment about the importance and presence of rights. The results obtained at the end of the research can be summarized like that; 1. The view of students to the children's rights change according to their ages, sex, the type of school they study, and the educational level of mother and father; 2. There a meaningful difference between the view of teachers and students to tha children's rights; 3. The view of teachers to the children's rights change according to their professional seniority and area; There is difference between school and home environment about the importance and presence of rights.
