Kuzguncuk semt tarihini insandan okumak ; bir seçki ile şahsiyetler

Abstract

Bir kenti sayısız öğe oluşturur. Bu öğelerin bütünü ise kentsel dokuyu oluşturmaktadır. Kentsel doku içerisinde fiziki yapı önemli bir yer tutar. Bununla birlikte, coğrafi özellikler, mekân, renkler, ışık, su, doğal zenginlikler bu yapıya form verir. İnsan öğesi bu formun başlangıç noktasındadır. Bir bütün olarak bakıldığında bu öğeler her türlü sanat dalı ile yakın ilişki içinde olduğu görülür. Bu ilişki, kentsel mekânların sanat ve sanatçı üretmesi ve biçimlendirmesi olacak şekilde incelemeye zemin hazırlamaktadır. Kentlerin belleği ve referans noktaları olduğu düşünüldüğünde, sanatçıların bu belleği ve referans noktalarını algılayarak kendi özgün süzgeçlerinden geçirdiği, biçime ve forma dönüştürdüğü söylenebilir. İstanbul’un güçlü bir referans noktası niteliğindeki semti Kuzguncuk, kamusal alanda sanatla iç içedir. Bu semtte sanat müzeden, sanat galerisinden çıkmış; sokağa, caddeye, meydana eklenmiş; gündelik yaşam içine girmiştir. Sanatın sokaktaki bireye ulaşması bir hayal olmaktan sıyrılarak gerçeğe dönüşmüştür. Çalışmada semtte gözle görünür bu sanatsal yan; kavramsal çerçeve, semtin özellikleri ve semti besleyen ve semtten beslenerek ürün veren sanatçılar ile gerçekleştirilen derinlemesine niteliksel görüşmeler ile ele alınmaktadır. Ayrıca muhtarlık ve konuya ait tafsilatlı bilgiye sahip belediyeyi temsilen bir birim yöneticisi ile yapılan mülakatlar yer almaktadır.Tarih içinde mekân ve insan daima etkileşim halinde olmuş, insan maddi ve manevi anlamda ürettiklerini mekâna yansıtmıştır. Mekân ise insana kattıkları ile ürün verdirmiştir. Mekânsal olarak Kuzguncuk semti bu bakış açısı ile değerlendirilmiştir.Çalışmanın sonuç ve değerlendirme bölümünde insan ve mekân etkileşimi bağlamında yapılan değerlendirmede; atölye ve ikamet adresi olarak seçimlerini Kuzguncuk’tan yana kullan sanatçıların gözünden semt tarihine, sahip olduğu zenginliklere ait bir bakış ile sanatçıların semte kattıklarına dair ipuçları sunulmaktadır.

A city consists of many components. All of these components constitute the urban texture. Physical structure within the urban texture is vital. İn addition to this, geographical features, places, colors, light, water, natural riches form this structure. Human factor is at the very beginning of this form. Taken as a whole, these items are in close relation with all kinds of art. This relationship prepares the ground for the urban spaces to produce and shape art and artists. Taking into consideration that cities have memories and reference points, it could be claimed that artists perceive this memory, reference points, transform them into their style, and form with their own unique filters. A strong reference point of Istanbul, Kuzguncuk, is in touch with art in terms of public space. In this district, art is right out of a museum - art gallery into the streets, roads and places, taking its place in daily life. Reaching the individuals in the Street is no longer a dream but reality. In this study, that visible artistic side is examined; the conceptual framework, the characteristics of the district that feeds the artists, in-depth qualitative interviews conducted with artists that feed the district. In addition, there are also interviews with a unit manager representing the municipality with detailed information on the subject.In history, human beings and places have always been in interaction, thus human beings have reflected their material and spiritual productions in the places. Places made human beings productive with the additions they bring on them. Spatially, the Kuzguncuk district was evaluated from this point of view.In the conclusion and evaluation section of this study, the discussion in the context of human beings and place interaction; it presents the history and the riches of the district through the eyes of the artists who have preferred Kuzguncuk for their residences and workshops along with the sings in regard to their contribution to the district.
