Türk basınında İran rehine krizi (4 Kasım 1979 - 20 Ocak 1981)

Abstract

Ortadoğu’nun önemli devletlerinden biri olan İran’ın dış politikasında İslam Devrimi’nden sonra ciddi bir değişim yaşanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Türk basınında yer alan İran rehine krizi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada rehine krizinin sadece İran ile ABD arasında değil, aynı zamanda uluslararası alanda da bir krize dönüştüğü Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Milliyet, Tercüman (Halka ve Olaylara) gazeteleri ile Millî Gazete’de yer alan haberler ve köşe yazılarıyla aktarılmış ve yaşandığı süreç içerisinde rehine krizinin bölgenin en önemli olaylarından biri olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Rehine krizini ele aldığımız tez çalışması toplam üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde rehine krizinin ortaya çıkması ve gelişen olaylar ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ABD’nin İran’a yönelik askerî müdahale girişimi ve sonrasında yaşanan rehine krizi ile ilgili hem İran’da hem de uluslararası alanda yaşanan önemli gelişmeler incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise rehine krizinin nasıl çözümlendiği, İran’ın ve ABD’nin taleplerinin ne şekilde karşılandığı ve krizin çözüm aşamaları ele alınarak tez çalışması tamamlanmıştır.

After the Islamic Revolution, there has been a significant change in the foreign policy of Iran, which is one of the most important states of the Middle East. In this study, Iranian hostage crisis in the Turkish Press was analyzed. In the study, the fact that the hostage crisis developed into crisis not only between Iran and the USA but also in the international area was conveyed through the news and opinion columns in the newspapers Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Milliyet, Tercüman (Halka ve Olaylara) and Millî Gazete and it was observed that the hostage crisis was one of the most significant issue in the region during the process. The thesis on the hostage crisis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, the emergence of the hostage crisis and the events are discussed. In the second chapter, the important developments both in Iran and the international area regarding the military intervention of the USA against Iran and the hostage crisis are examined. In the third chapter, the thesis has been completed by discussing how the hostage crisis was resolved, how the demands of Iran and the USA were met and the resolution stages of the crisis.
