Publication: 1950-1970 dönemi tarih müfredat programları ve tarih ders kitaplarında tarihçilik anlayışı
Abstract
1950-1970 döneminde liselerde okutulan tarih ders kitaplarının çeşitli yönlerden incelendiği bu çalışmanın amacı, söz konusu kitapların siyasal ve sosyal şartlardan nasıl etkilendiğini araştırmak ve dönemin tarihçilik anlayışını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada, amaca ve konuya uygun olarak Hermeneutik yöntem kullanılarak, 1950-1970 dönemi içerisinde değişen siyasi iktidarların benimsemiş oldukları hükümet politikalarının tarih öğretimi üzerindeki etkisi ele alınmıştır. Bu araştırmada asıl amaç, siyasi iktidarların ideolojik yaklaşımlarını ortaya koymak ve bu ideolojik yaklaşımların tarih ders kitaplarına nasıl yansıtıldığını göstermek olduğu için; ele alınan kitapların söylem ve içerik analizleri yapılmıştır. Özellikle 1950-1970 dönemi lise tarih ders kitaplarında hangi konulara ağırlıklı yer verildiği üzerinde durulmuş ve Türk Tarihi ile Avrupa tarihine bakış açıları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Atatürk'ün ölümünden sonra, dünyada yaşanan siyasi ve sosyal olayların etkisi ile şekillenen dış politikada batı yanlısı bir duruş sergilenmiş ve bu batı yanlısı politika beraberinde Hümanizm akımını getirmiştir. Bu araştırma kapsamında, hümanist anlayış, 1950-1970 dönemi tarih ders kitaplarında etkisini hissettirse de; önceki dönemin (1930-1950) tarih yazımını belirleyen Türk Tarih Tezi'nden tam anlamıyla bir kopuş yaşanmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Dolayısı ile ele alınan lise tarih ders kitapları Hümanizm ve Türk Tarih Tezi doğrultusunda şekillenmiş ve bu iki anlayış Türk Tarih Tezi ağırlıklı olmak üzere ders kitaplarında etkilerini hissettirmiştir.
This study searches for the history text books of the high-schools between the years of 1950 and 1970. It aims at finding out how and to what extent the social and political conditions affect the history text books, and claiming out the understanding of history at that period. In this study, using the Hermeneutic method, as appropriate to the aim and theme, the effects of political powers and their governmental policies on the teaching of history between the years of 1950-1970 has been peculiarly taken up. Our aim in the search for the books is to bring out the ideological approaches of political powers and their effects on the high-school history text books in that period. It has been, particularly, focused on which subjects were mostly explained on the history text books, and from which point of view the history books had reflected the Turkish History and the History of Europe. After the death of Ataturk, with the impression of the political and social events, our foreign policy had followed a west-supporting policy, which also brought out a movement called Humanism. According to the results of this study, though the humanistic approach has been presented on the history books, it has never meant that they have completely separated from the Turkish History Thesis. For that reason, the history books has been formed through both Humanism and Turkish History Thesis.
