Evliya Çelebi Seyahatnamesi'nin kitabi kaynakları

Abstract

Üç bölümden müteşekkil olan çalışmamızda, Seyahatname’nin on cildi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmamız Evliya’nın Seyahatname metnini inşa ederken faydalandığı kitabi kaynakları incelemekte ve kaynakların eserin yapısına olan katkılarını analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, Seyahatname’nin mevcut yazma nüshaları, eserin adı, telif sebebi, tertip yöntemi, muhtevası, üslup ve dil özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca Evliya Çelebi’nin istifade ettiği kitapları nasıl belirlediği, sınıflandırdığı ve değerlendirdiği sorularına yanıt aranmış, atıf yaptığı eserler üzerinden bibliyografik bilgisi değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bölüm, Seyahatname’nin yazım sürecinde kullanılan yöntemleri anlama noktasında temel bir çerçeve sunmaktadır. İkinci bölümde, Seyahatname’de kullanılan kitabi kaynaklar ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Evliya Çelebi’nin tarih, coğrafya, dil bilimi ve toplum bilimleri gibi farklı disiplinlerden nasıl yararlandığı ve bu kaynakların eserin yapısına olan katkıları değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca, Evliya’nın eğitim sürecinde referans aldığı eserler, hediyelik olarak elde ettiği kitaplar ve olayları aktarırken atıfta bulunduğu kaynaklar üzerinde durulmuştur. Son olarak, Evliya’nın Seyahatname’yi oluştururken istifade ettiği ancak açıkça atıf yapmadığı kaynaklar ele alınarak, bu eserlerin metnin oluşum sürecine katkıları tartışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, Seyahatname’de yer verilen ve gerçekte var olmayan muhayyel kitaplar incelenmiştir. Bu eserlerin neden ortaya çıktığı, Evliya Çelebi’nin anlatımına sağladığı katkılar ve eserin genel kurgusuna olan etkileri analiz edilmiştir.

In this study, consisting of three sections, the ten volumes of Seyahatname are examined. The study aims to investigate the literary sources utilised by Evliya Çelebi during the construction of the Seyahatname text and to analyse the contributions of these sources to the structure of the work. The first section addresses the existing manuscript copies of Seyahatname, its title, purpose of composition, organisational method, content, stylistic and linguistic features. Additionally, it seeks to answer questions regarding how Evliya Çelebi selected, classified, and evaluated the books he used, assessing his bibliographic knowledge through the works he cited. This section provides a foundational framework for understanding the methodologies employed during the composition of Seyahatname. The second section offers a detailed examination of the literary sources referenced in Seyahatname. It explores how Evliya Çelebi drew upon disciplines such as history, geography, linguistics, and social sciences, and analyses the contributions of these sources to the work's structure. Furthermore, it focuses on the works referenced during his education, books he acquired as gifts, and those cited to narrate specific events. Finally, this section discusses the sources Evliya benefited from while constructing Seyahatname but did not explicitly cite, considering their impact on the creation of the text. The third section investigates the imaginary books featured in Seyahatname, which are presented as sources yet do not exist in reality. This part analyses the reasons for the emergence of such works, their contributions to Evliya Çelebi’s narrative, and their influence on the overall structure of the text. Additionally, it evaluates the role of these fictional sources in enriching and integrating the narrative of Seyahatname.
