Abstract
2-6 YAŞ ARASI OTİSTİK ÇOCUĞA SAHİP ANNELERİN ALGILADIKLARI SOSYAL DESTEK VE UMUTSUZLUK DÜZEYLERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN iNCELENMESİ Bu araştırmanın amacı, 2-6 yaş arası otistik çocuğa sahip annelerin algıladıkları sosyal destek ile umutsuzluk düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma Kocaeli il sınırları içerisindeki özel eğitim kurumlarından eğitim alan 2-6 yaş otistik çocuğa sahip 92 annenin katılımıyla gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmada veriler, Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği, Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, annelerin algıladığı sosyal destek ve umutsuzluk düzeylerinin annenin yaşı, otistik çocuğun yaşı ve cinsiyetine göre farklılaşmadığı, ancak annenin medeni durumu, eğitim ve algılanan gelir düzeyi, çocuğun algılanan otizmin derecesi ve kaynaştırma eğitimine katılma durumuna göre farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. Otistik çocuğa sahip annelerin algıladığı sosyal destek ile umutsuzluk düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin negatif yönde ve anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. INVESTIGATION OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT AND HOPELESSNESS LEVEL OF THE MOTHERS WHO HAVE THE CHILD WITH AUTISM BETWEEN THE AGE 2-6 The aim of this research is to study the relationship between perceived social support and hopelessness levels of mothers who have the child with autism between the ages 2-6. The sample of the research is constituted from 92 mothers who have child with autism between the ages 2-6 going to special education centers in Kocaeli. In this research, data was received through The Beck Hopelessness Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and The Personel Information Form that is improved by the researcher. According to the result of this research, it is apparent that the mother’s perceived social support and hopelessness levels does not differ related to the mother’s age, child’s age and gender however it differs according to her marital status, level of education and perceived income, child’s perceived degree of autism and participated integration education status. In this research, between perceived social support and hopelessness levels of mothers who having an autistic child statistically meaningful and negative correlation.
