Mühimme defterlerinde Galata (16.yüzyıl) (inceleme-metin)

Abstract

Divan-ı Hümayun’dan çıkan fermanların suretlerini içeren Mühimme defterleri, Osmanlı siyasi, askerî ve ictimai tarihinin en önemli kaynakları arasındadır. Bu nedenle Osmanlı tarihçileri uzun yıllardır bu kaynak türüne dayalı çok çeşitli araştırmalar neşretmişlerdir. Bu tezde de 16. yüzyıl Mühimme defterlerinde yer alan Galata konulu hükümler incelenmiştir. Bunun için öncelikle 16. yüzyıla ait bilinen bütün Mühimme defterleri taranmıştır. Mühimme katoloğunda yer alan 95 adet Mühimme defterinin 12 adedi başka defter türleri olduğundan (tahvil ve ruus defterleri gibi) incelemeye dâhil edilmemiştir. Yirminci Mühimme defteri kayıp olduğu ve 57 numaralı defterin de 18. yüzyıl hükümlerini içermesinden dolayı araştırmaya katılmamıştır. Bunların dışında 1 adet Kıbrıs sefer cüzü ve 10 adet de Mühimme defteri parçası taranmıştır. İncelemeler neticesinde 1544-1596 yılları arasına ait Galata ile ilgili 330 hüküm tespit edilmiştir. Söz konusu hükümlerin transkripsiyonları yapılmış ve özetleri çıkarılmıştır. Tez metni giriş, inceleme, sonuç ve metin kısımlarından oluşmaktadır Girişte, Galata’nın 16. yüzyıla kadar olan tarihi genel hatlarıyla açıklanmıştır. İnceleme kısmında hükümlerin muhteva değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Son olarak da tespit edilen hükümlerin özet ve transkripsiyonlarına yer verilmiştir.

Mühimme notebooks, which contain copies of the edicts issued by the Imperial Council, are among the most important sources of Ottoman political, military and social history. For this reason, Ottoman historians have published a wide variety of research based on this source type for many years. In this thesis, the provisions on Galata in the 16th century Mühimme notebooks were examined. For this purpose, first of all, all known mühimme notebooks from the 16th century were scanned. 12 of the 95 mühimme notebooks in the mühimme catalog were not included in the analysis because they were other types of notebooks (such as bond and ruus notebooks). The Twentieth Muhimme notebook was not included in the research because it was lost and notebook number 57 contained the provisions of the 18th century. Apart from these, 1 Cyprus expedition document and 10 Mühimme notebook fragments were scanned. As a result of the investigations, 330 provisions regarding Galata between the years 1544-1596 were identified. The provisions in question have been transcribed and summarized. The thesis text consists of introduction, analysis, conclusion and text parts. In the introduction, the history of Galata until the 16th century is explained in general terms. In the review section, the content of the provisions was evaluated. Finally, summaries and transcriptions of the determined provisions are included.
