Publication: Fotoğrafta drone kullanımı ve geleceği
Abstract
This thesis comprehensively examines the past, present, and future of drone photography, which has gained increasing significance in the field of contemporary photography. It analyzes the historical development, technological foundations, future potential, and artistic applications of drone photography from a broad perspective. The study first explores the emergence of the drone concept, the historical evolution of the camera, and the development of aerial photography. In doing so, it evaluates the foundations of drone photography within a historical framework. Subsequently, current drone technologies are investigated. This section explains the basic components of aerial drones, examines remotely controlled photography systems used on land and underwater within the context of drones, and provides analysis through selected models. Animatronic cameras are discussed in relation to drone use, and drone light shows are also analyzed. The future of drone photography is addressed through discussions of its advantages, legal regulations, ethical considerations, and emerging technological innovations, offering predictions about its potential impact on art and society. In the final section, artistic approaches in aerial drone photography are explored. Here, drone photographs are examined through documentary, surrealist, abstract, conceptual, and minimalist artistic approaches and supported with examples from selected artists and their works.
