Hekimliğin toplumsal dönüşümü : 2000’li yıllarda Türkiye üzerine bir analiz

Abstract

Profesyonel mesleklerin prototipi olan hekimlik mesleği günümüzde emekçi sınıfa özgü olgular ile anılmaktadır. Öyle ki hekim tükenmişliği artık mesleğin rutin bir safhası olarak ifade edilmektedir. Buradan hareketle çalışmamız, toplumda ‘’ayrıcalıklı’’ bir konumda yer alan mesleğin günümüzde yaşamış olduğu dönüşümü anlama amacı taşır. Hekimliğin dönüşümüne dair bütüncül bir analiz ortaya koyabilmek için çalışmamızda tarihsel bir perspektif izlenmiştir. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde tıbbı ve hekimliği şekillendiren eşitsiz güç ilişkileri eleştirel bir yöntem ile ortaya çıkarılmış; diyalektik yaklaşım ile birbirinden bağımsız görünen parçalar bütünün kendisini görünür kılmıştır. Genel konjoktüre dair süreci görünür kılmanın akabinde Türkiye’ye özgü dinamikler değerlendirilerek 2000’li yıllarda hekimliğin güncel dönüşümü analiz edilmiştir.

The profession of medicine, which is the prototype of professional professions, is nowadays associated with phenomena specific to the labouring class. So much so that physician burnout is now expressed as a routine phase of the profession. From this point of view, our study aims to understand the transformation that the profession, which occupies a privileged position in society, has experienced today. In order to present a holistic analysis of the transformation of medicine, a historical perspective is followed in our study. The unequal power relations shaping medicine and medicine in the historical process have been revealed with a critical method; with a dialectical approach, the parts that seem independent of each other have made the whole visible. After making the process of the general conjuncture visible, the current transformation of medicine profession in the 2000s was analysed by evaluating the dynamics specific to Turkey.
