Abstract
16. yüzyıl Osmanlı tarihçilerinden Matrakçı Nasûh’un, Süleymân-nâmesi’nin ilk bölümü durumunda olan eser TSMK Revan 1286’da kayıtlı olup h. 926-944/ m. 1520-1537 yılları olaylarını içermektedir. Matrakçı Nasûh’un hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bazı değerlendirmelerin de yer aldığı ancak temelde zikredilen eserin, Hüseyin G. Yurdaydın tarafından neşredilmiş olan “Beyân-ı Menâzil-i Sefer-i Irâkeyn”e tekabül eden vr. 206b-282b kısmı hariç yapılan transkripsiyonu ile tespit edilebilen kaynakları ve müellifin kaynaklardan yararlanma tarzı tezin muhtevasını oluşturmaktadır.
The piece which contains the first chapter of 16th century Ottoman Historian Matrakçı Nasûh's Süleymân-nâme deals with the events of 1520-1537 (Hegira, 926-944) period and is registered in Topkapı Palace Museum Library (TPML) Revan 1286. The thesis includes some evaluations on the life and work of Matrakçı Nasûh. The thesis includes the transcription of the Süleymân-nâme except the pages 206b-282b that was already published under the title of Beyân-ı Menâzil-i Sefer-i Irâkeyn by Hüseyin Gazi Yurdaydın. It also evaluates sources, methods and how Matrakçı Nasûh made use of these sources.
