Vedâ Haccı örnekliğinde Osmanlı Siyer yazıcılığı

Abstract

Vedâ Haccı örnekliğinde Osmanlı Siyer yazıcılığı Osmanlı Dönemi’nde Hz. Peygamber’in hayatını konu edinen farklı türlerde yazılmış pek çok eser bulunmaktadır. Bunların bazıları tercüme, bazıları telif veya tercüme-telif şeklinde ifade edebileceğimiz tamamen tercüme olmayıp yazarın yorumlarını da içeren siyerlerdir. Bu siyerlerin yazılış tarzları da birbirinden farklı olabilmektedir. Bir kısmı nesir, bir kısmı manzûm yazılmışken nesir-manzûm karışık yazılmış olanların sayısı da az değildir. Osmanlı Dönemi’nde yazılmış bütün siyerleri incelemek bu çalışmanın sınırlarını aşacağı için konu sınırlandırmak suretiyle daha çalışılabilir bir çerçeveye oturtuldu. Bunun için öncelikle tercüme siyerler bir kenara bırakılıp sadece telif eserler, tür olarak da sadece siyer türü değerlendirmeye alındı. Bu dönemde yazılmış telif siyerlerin yekûnu bir hayli fazla olması sebebiyle çalışma alanı Osmanlı Dönemi’nde yazılmış siyerleri “Vedâ Haccı” konusu özelinde incelemek şeklinde belirlendi. Öncelikle Osmanlı Dönemi’nde yazılmış siyerleri tespit etmek için katalog ve kütüphanelerde ilgili eserler ve bunlarla ilgili çalışmalara ulaşıldı. Çalışmada söz konusu dönemde yazılmış siyerlerde, belirlenen konunun ele alınıp alınmadığı, konunun işleniş tarzı, üslupları ve aralarındaki farklar, varsa uyumlar ortaya konulmaya gayret edildi. Bu çalışma ile hem Osmanlı Dönemi’nde yazılmış telif siyerlere toplu bir bakış sağlanmış hem de Vedâ Haccı konusunun bu dönem de yazılmış siyerlerde ele alınışı bir çerçeveye oturtulmuştur.

Ottoman Siyer writing in the example of farewell hajj There are many works written in different genres about the life of the Prophet during the Ottoman period. Some of these are translations, some are original works, and some are a mixture of translation and original work, containing the author's interpretations as well as translations. The styles of these siyer works also vary. Some are written in prose, some in verse, and there are also a significant number written in a mixture of prose and verse. Since examining all the siyer written during the Ottoman period would exceed the scope of this study, the subject was narrowed down to create a more manageable framework. For this purpose, translated siyer were set aside, and only original works, specifically those of the siyer genre, were evaluated. Due to the large number of original siyer written during this period, the scope of the study was defined as examining the siyer written during the Ottoman period with a focus on the topic of “farewell pilgrimage.” First, catalogs and libraries were consulted to identify siyer written during the Ottoman period and related works. The study sought to determine whether the specified topic was addressed in the siyer written during the period in question, how the topic was treated, the styles used, and any differences or similarities between them. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the original siyer written during the Ottoman period and establishes a framework for the treatment of the topic of the farewell pilgrimage in the siyer written during this period.
