Publication: Yahudi bilim adamı Avram Galanti Bodrumlu hayatı ve faaliyetleri (1873-1961)
Abstract
Avram Galanti Bodrumlu, çalışma hayatının ilk yıllarında Rodos’ta, Darülfünun’da öğretmen olarak çalışmıştır. II. Abdülhamit döneminde sansürcü olarak görev yapmış ve 7. Dönem CHP Niğde Milletvekili olarak mecliste bulunmuştur. Çalışma alanı tarih olan Avram Galanti, Yahudi tarihi hakkında pek çok bilgiyi okurlarıyla paylaşırken aynı zamanda Fransızca, İbranice, Almanca, Arapça bildiği için filoloji ile ilgilenmiş ve diller arasındaki bağlantı çerçevesinde pek çok eser kaleme almıştır. İlerleyen yaşına rağmen üretkenliğini yitirmeyen Avram Galanti, Fransızca ve Ladino aracılığıyla yabancı basında pek çok çalışma yayınlamıştır. Bu çalışma, Avram Galanti’nin hayatını ve yayınladığı eserler aracılığıyla farklı konulara olan bakış açısını ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır. Bu çalışmada kullanılan kaynaklar, Avram Galanti’nin Osmanlıca, Fransızca ve İspanyolca (Ladino) lisanlarında kaleme aldığı makalelerden, TBMM Zabıt Ceridesinden, Avram Galanti hakkında çıkan gazete haberlerinden ve Avram Galanti hakkında kaleme alınmış yazılardan oluşmaktadır.
Avram Garanti Bodrumlu worked as a teacher at Darülfünun in Rodos in the first years of his life. During the period of Abdülhamit II, he served as a censor and was a CHP Niğde deputy of the 7th period of the parliament. As his profession was history, he shared his knowledge with his readers and had interest in philology resulting him writing many pieces about connections between languages as he spoke French, German, Hebrew and Arabic. Altough he was getting old, he did not lose any of his productivity and shared his works in the foreign media using his ability on French and Latin. This study has led Avram Galanti to to reveal his life and his view of different topics through his published works.The sources used in this study consist of Avram Galanti's articles in Ottoman Turkish, French and Spanish, TBMM Official Report Papers, news from newspapers about Avram Galanti and articles written about him.
