Abstract
Bilginin önem kazandığı, kurumlar için temel sermaye, güç ve rekabet unsuru haline geldiği günümüzde bilginin etkin bir şekilde yönetilmesi anlayışı da önem kazanmıştır. Çünkü bilginin bir güç unsuru olabilmesi için, doğru bilginin üretilebilmesi, yönetilebilmesi ve kurumların amaç ve hedefleri doğrultusunda kullanılabilmesi gerekmektedir. Bilginin etkin bir şekilde yönetilip kurumların amaçları doğrultusunda kullanılabilmesi için ise bilgi profesyonellerine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bilgi profesyonellerinin verimliliği, kurumsal bilgi yönetimi sürecini de verimli hale getirmektedir. Koşulların daha hızlı değiştiği, her geçen gün yeni teknolojik gelişme ve değişmelerin yaşandığı günümüzde, gerek kişiler gerekse kurumlar belli dönemlerde çeşitli konularda değişim süreçlerinden geçmektedirler. Gelişen ve değişen dünyada ortaya çıkan yeni gelişmeler ve meydana gelen değişimler şüphesiz ki bilgi profesyonellerini de etkilemektedir. Nowadays the efficient management of information is gaining importance due to information which has been becoming a basic element of capital, power and competition for the institutions. Because, in order to be a power element, it is necessary that right information must be created, managed and used in the direction of goals and objectives of institutions. To achieve this, information professionals are needed. The efficiency of that professionals will make institutional information management process more efficient as well. Today both individuals and institutions are passing through changing processes in many issues at certain periods of time that rapid changes and new technological developments do exist. The new developments and changes which are occur in developing and changing world, is also no doubt to effect information professionals.
